8 mile walk. That's luxury dude...it would take me over two hours just to drive to the store...and they don't do mail order >.<

my sister has an Ikea store/credit card and she completed a prize draw form a year or so ago in the Glasgow store and won £500 worth of Ikea vouchers! I think she gets the odd free meals vouchers with it too.0

They sent me my family card the other week I think it's cause I have a storecard ?
I also had a £2.50 off voucher if I spend £5 on family products.

We went to Wednesbury and were given one on Monday. Didnt know about the free drinks till we came home :rotfl: typical. Got overcharged on the blueberry cake in the cafe too 20p per portion. Never mind, it was very nice but i miss the 50p applecake n cream.
We were told to scan it at the till every visit regardless of whether we'd bought anything from the family section because the scan shows visits to the store as loyalty too.
The poor kid on the till scanned ours 3 times waiting for a discount to come up until I told him we hadn't got anything from the family section.debt free...yippee

Incidentally, I used to have an IKEA family card in Germany (Hanau store). When I moved to Brussels, I proffered the card in their Zaventem store (not expecting it to be accepted) and, hey presto, a discount on the IKEA family products I had bought.
(The German card didn't work with IKEA Belgium's Home Shopping service, though, so I relented and now carry around an extra bit of orange plastic!)
So don't forget to take it with you if you ever cross the Channel!0 -

Ikea Edinburgh-free coffee
Ikea Edinburgh are undergoing a refurbishment around the cafe area to create the "new family area" presumably related to the new family card already mentioned. The regular drinks area in the cafe is out of action and they have a drinks cart instead which doesn't have the full range of drinks so they're giving away tokens with every purchase in the cafe for free tea and coffee to make up for the inconvenience.
I don't know how long it'll be on offer for but some people left their tokens on the trays when they took them to the stacking area.Go grab a few!:rotfl:0 -
