Hi cookie, I see you sent your email on 10th December, 3 days before I sent mine. Did you receive anything else between the automated reply from Santander and the settlement?

Nicky not a thing. Automated reply and then received a settlement letter 1st post after Xmas. No further emails, letters nothing. Hopefully you hear soon.

  • Hi all,

I took a £13.5k Cahoot flex-loan out in 2005 at c.6-7pc ... which is now right up at the worst IRs I've read about on here. Reading the comments on here, I'm hoping to be eligible for similar recompense (as I notice on my equinox report I just bought that the current loan term is registered as 999 years...).

Would somebody be able to PM me the template letter I've read about?

Thanks in advance for any help ...

    Hi Nicky321,

I submitted my email on the 29th Nov, then again on 2nd Dec.....I heard nothing, so called for an update to make sure it was being looked into. I had a call back from them saying that it was and that I would be happy with the result - but I have recieved no postal correspondance.

When I spoke to the guy, he did tell me that mine was a complex case as I had continually used the flexi feature, meaning the loan value was always all over the shop. I dont know if you are similar to this.

But if you are unsure, you should just call them and ask for an update

I had used my flexi account and withdraw funds a number of times, and my cheque did not take that long to come.

I was told mine was quite complex as it started in 2001 and i used most of it early on to buy a car, then paid off a large chunk, then kept dipping in and out. It then went to collections a few years ago and i've been on an arrangement ever since.

I did ask for the charges to be looked at as part of my complaint as i worked out there was over £700 worth from when my account first fell behind.

Fingers crossed i hear soon as i'm really nervous that i won't get anything but i guess if i hadn't been told about this thread, i would never have known anyway.

Good luck to those still waiting to hear :)
