  • I have had one of these running for the last six years and have just complained to the CEO's email and had the automated response saying they are confident that this will be sorted out to my satisfaction and it has been passed to the exec complaints dept...

I think mine started with 3.5k at 11.5% and is now 20% according to the statement.I still owe nearly 2.5k despite never having missed a payment in 6 years.
Mine also had PPI on which i cancelled in late 2008 i think,at one stage the payment was £72 per month and only £6 or £7 was coming off the balance.

Fingers crossed i get a good result..

    Hi all ,
So glad I have found this site!
Took out a Cahoot loan in Nov 05 and still paying it off now with over £5k remaining , my APR is 16.61% it changed in 08 but cannot remember what it was before and cannot find credit agreement.
Can I still use the standard template letter that you guys have been sending without knowing my original APR ?

Could someone pm the template please ?

    Thanks so much !

    Heres my timeline:
23rd Dec - Emailed the CEO addy stating I was considering making a complaint and could they furnish me with the balances and interest rate changes as I didnt have them
28th Dec - recieved an email askign for address history
29th Dec - Sent Address History
4th Jan - Realised I mistyped my phone number on response so emailed correct phone number - 10 mins later got a call from a nice lady saying I was getting best part of £500 back and the cheque will go out tomorrow.

I wish their mortgage centre could be this efficient

Thank you so much to the OP and Happy Bunny for this tip off, times are hard and £500 I hadnt budgetted for is VERY well received.

    Good luck all

  • Hi All,
I would just like to thank the OP and Happy Bunny for their help, I just received a letter with a refund for £2400! (Original loan £4000) this leaves me with only £300 to pay on the loan and then I'll finally be rid of it!! For reference I emailed the CEO on the 15th of December then got a letter on the 4th of January, this must of been the best email I’ve ever sent :)

    Thanks again

I took out a Cahoot fleible loan in 2003 with a loan amount of £12000. My interest started off at 6% and now stands at 20% with £5.5k outstanding. I've just stumbled across this thread and I would like to thank you all for bringing this to my attention.Could someone kindly send me the letter template?

After the postie came again today with nothing :( I emailed CEO again asking for an update, attaching all corresponding emails sent. They replied with the following

"Emma has been away from the office and her colleague Michelle Cook has been dealing with this in her absence. A letter has been issued today so you should receive this shortly.

I'm looking on this as good news, or could it be a letter containing disappointment?

    Fingers crossed x
