Does anyone on here have a SAD lamp?and if so do they work?:D:D"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Afternoon Everybody,
Just popped in to say Hello, will have to try & catch up with all the goss in a bit as with DS home I don't get much of a look in on the lappy these days. Have managed to work out that JackieO is in need of hugs, also Poppy dog x
Things are trundling along here, DS & I are a bit of a wobbly team as he can't use his right arm & I can't use my left hand, butrrr between us we are managingDP has been an angel & has hoovered & mopped all through today & also dug over the veg patch, walked the dogs, & changed DS's bed, he is now murdering & mayhemming on the xbox
Dinner tonight will be a pie using up some chicken & gammon bits from the freezer, hm pastry (also from freezer) & some tired leeks & mushrooms from the fridge. Tonight we will be making the xmas cake which is a first as normally my DM makes all the cakes and puddings, but we felt that this year with the ingredients & postage being so expensive she will just make the ones for my two sisters who live nearby. I am going to make a big square one & cut it in half to make a cake for me & DP & one for exhubby to take home with him after Christmas dinner.
Right sounds like WM has finished & the path is drying up so will put washing out for a blow as the weeks forecast is rain, rain & more rain
Hugs, spoons & hi5's all round & best wishes for a happy weekend x

Oh dear seems to be the weekend for poorlies at Chez Bitsy, DD has come back from Grannies house looking like death warmed up. Red eyes, pasty face so looks like she's coming down with something. Poor H can't really sit on his poor botty but DD's insisted on a cuddle with him under a blanket so he'll be ending up with a bad back too at this rate as he's sitting funny to avoid his right side.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

I'm still in Sydney, having a fab time now. The first two days it was a bit miserable weather wise, and i wasn't feeling too well so didn't click with the city. But yday was the best day ever and it's hot and sunny now so I love it!!!
For those of you who didn't see my FB yday, I went to a wildlife park and petted koalas and fed kangeroos. And then in the evening I went to see a local band play in a gig, and the lead singer was Craig McLachlan (who was Henry in Neighbours in the 80s!!!!) :j:j:j I got to meet him, have a chat and get my pic taken with him, totally made my trip :rotfl: Pics are uploading to FB as i type.
I've got one more day in Sydney before flying to Melbourne on Monday. Only there for 3 days before flying to New Zealand to see my friend.
Bye
xx
Am usually more of a lurker than a poster, but had to come out and post at you seeing Craig McLachlan - he is lush!!!!! I remember going to see him when he was in the musical Grease in London, and he was so fab (not to mention verrrrry easy on the eye!) I went to see it twice!! :rotfl:
Glad you are enjoying your hols, I'm not jealous, much!!0 -

Afternoon all,
Huggs for Bitsy, sounds like your having a right time of it at the moment.
Flutterbyuk, Sydney sounds fab, can't wait to get to Perth next year.
Have been busy today, the usual Saturday clean including all the bathrooms and tackled the mountain of washing.
Then I have spent quite a few hours on my ebay shop.
Had to give in and put the dryer on but will hang some stuff on the maiden as well.
Its chilly and wet here so will light the fire tonight and snuggle up with my crochet, bliss:D
Tea will be a quick chicken salad.
No cooking tomorrow as at mums for a roast dinner and crumble.
DH is still hobbling about and moaning:cool:
Have a good Saturday all Julie xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Must decide on a dehumidifier today, if anyone has any recommendations please let me know. I don't want to spend £100 and have it not work, and the problem is definitely too big for the sheets or mini ones
Bitsy I hope Mr B is not in too much discomfort - and that the stupid driver gets the book thrown at her!
Molly oh, poor Poppy - they get so embarrassed when they have to wear lampshades, don't they?:o
Taplady good luck to Louie in the Pet Idol competition; I'd love to see the photo!:D
I've done all the work I'm going to do today (well, apart from the accounts spreadsheets, which is of course a sitting-down job) because we have tickets for "The Madness of George III" at MK Theatre tonight, and I want enough spoons left to be able to enjoy it.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

DH does, he sits in front of it every morning whilst he's eating his porridge and watching the news. He reckons it does help and he has been using it for a couple of years now. He got it off Amazon.

Candy - yes I have one and it does work very well xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
On the news that Jimmy Saville has died he would have been 85 on Monday, he did a lot of good work in his life.
Rest easy JimmyBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
