Your only saving grace is that you may get a cheaper courier to return.
Think of this from the sellers point of view, when the knackered items turn up and he is forced to refund.
Like I said, lose/lose.0 -

Well, it's entirely his fault, so he has no right to be annoyed/upset. OP gave him £5 with which to buy packaging materials, which he clearly didn't do. It's like me sending a wine glass in an envelope...I'd be insane to expect it to arrive intact and it would be my fault that it got broken, not the courier's or anyone else's. He's a shoddy seller who shouldn't BE selling if he can't even face up to his responsibilities (that being to carefully wrap the goods for the paying customer to whom they are being sent so that they arrive in the condition I sold them).0 -

I wasn't apportioning blame. I was stressing this is a lose/lose situation.0 -
I know...but to be honest, given his attitude, stuff the seller!! Couldn't give a monkey's how he'd be feeling about it. It'd be different if he'd been more polite and helpful to his customer and had made the effort to wrap the item properly...then he'd be entitled to be annoyed/gutted when the item got damaged.
You're right, though...it is a lose/lose situation.0 -

Stuff the seller - yes I agree.
What I was trying to convey (and I am not native English so I apologise), but the buyer is going to be down a few quid, but the seller is going to be down more - so the buyer should be thankful he is not in a worse situation.0 -
Ok, so I cant see how or where to escalate this issue and have ebay make a decision. He is still ignoring me, and refused to give a partial refund for the damage. I will be down nearly £30 but would rather that then spend over half the amount paid for getting something fixed that he broke. That if ebay even go in my favour.
Can anyone help me I just want an end to all this now and if I lose then I need to start saving again to pay for the damage

With PP there is a 'escalate' option, but in eBay I think you have to wait a set amount of time. Which case is open?0

Item not as described case, just want to get a reloloution so I know what needs to be done. Still mad I will be down money but will be more if I keep them and have to buy another deck or repair job. Should be spinning some big choons on em at the minute but nottheonlywayisup wrote: »With PP there is a 'escalate' option, but in eBay I think you have to wait a set amount of time. Is it an eBay or PayPal case?0

Ebay but paid by paypal. In pp it just says go to ebay resloution centre. Since then me and sellar have argued while he lied about how he wrapped the decks up. And says I have broken it or am trying a fast one and annoying him, aahhhh he's lucky I am no where near him cause I would be on the verge of knocking his head off for all the stress he's caused :mad:theonlywayisup wrote: »Is it an eBay or PayPal case?0
