i know of a athletic coach who i suspect has a motorbility car and ferries clients around in it but i want to be sure before i report it , (trying to be fair to him and avoid wasting time for the authorities)Sealed pot challenger # 10

I believe if you pass the car registration on to the council they will confirm if the car has a blue badge registered to it. OH reported misuse of one once and the council did state to him that there was no badge registered to that car.0 -

Sorry, could you clear something up for me? Were there no buses?0 -

Why do you think he has a motobility car?
If he is entitled to a motobility car, there is no restriction on what he does with it."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

MOTORBILITY is for those who have mobility issues, but if he is an athletics coach i assume he would need to be fit and mobile, so therefore not entitled to a mobility vehicle. if it was issued due to a family member, then he legally cannot use the vehicle unless that person is with him or he his doing an errand for that person.0 -

You're wrong.... there's 1000's of athletes taking part in paralympics...are you suggesting they can't coach because they are not fit and mobile?0 -
I'm afraid you're wrong......If he has a motability vehicle, that is an entitlement which he can use to drive family members/people around in. You are talking about the blue badge....which comes with it. They would not be allowed to use the blue badge to park in disabled parking without the family member in the car.0

you can assume by the comment that the athetic coach mentioned is able bodied or why would they considering reporting himi know of a athletic coach who i suspect has a motorbility car and ferries clients around in it but i want to be sure before i report it , (trying to be fair to him and avoid wasting time for the authorities)0 -

So you can stop curtain-twitching and get on with your own life......
you are 100% WRONG, my father has a mobility car and its stipulated the car can ONLY be used by the person that is immobile or a designated driver to ferry the immobile person around or to run an errand for the immobile person0 -

How can a motability car be used
Mo says:
A Motability car must only be used by, or for the benefit of the disabled person.
