Motorbike Camera

Options
Anyone know of a cheap but clear camera that is mountable on a motorbike helmet etc?

My reasons are two fold, one to back up any insurance issues (I've had two near misses in the last few weeks and i'm getting fed up of F&^%@:%$ing crappy d@%khead drivers.) and secondly so that i can look at said d@%khead drivers using their mobile phones/pda's/lip gloss and then look at their number plate and have it recorded, signed, sealed and delivered to my local police station.

They simple do not understand, that car you drive weights a TON minimum! you hit me with it at speed and i will probably die. F@:*ing morons.

I've read good reviews of Roadhawk cctv, not sure if they do them for bikes though.

In percentage terms of road users I have no doubt more bikers brake road laws than car drivers!

and on the other side of the coin, i encounter numerous motorbikes weaving through the traffic at high speed, overtaking on bends, cheating queues and so on.

do these motorcyclists not understand that the cars people drive weigh a TON minimum, and if they get hit by a car at speed they will probably die?

    morons

It's call "filtering" or "lane splitting", it's perfectly legal and actually helps to reduce traffic.....

You wanna sit in "queue's" that's your choice. Biker's brave the weather and don't have nice heated metal cages to sit inside, if they wanna come past, i'll move over and let them do so.

The whole "queuing mentality" in the UK, needs to stop before it gets any more people killed.

Cars, they weigh a tonne... SO why the f**k do drivers use them as weapons against anyone driving or riding a smaller vehicle?

Having just been driven over while I was waiting patiently in traffic on my motorbike yesterday, a helmet camera is going to be top of my Christmas list. I would have got a nice shot of a tonne or two of flashy car rolling over my toes. It seems I'll have to filter because some drivers don't feel that I'm entitled to space in the lanes.

It's the 2nd time in 6 months something like that's happened when I'd decided not to filter past, and both in full daylight with correct lane positioning too.

Suggest you need to be careful searching for Dogcam on your PC - it could bring up all sorts of things you weren't expecting ;)

most people don't, a few bad drivers do. just as a few bad motorcyclists are asking to be knocked off their bikes when they make dangerous manoeuvres, but most motorcyclists do not
