  • Thank you, that is useful to know.

I'm pretty sure that in the small claims court, we can prove it fails so often, its unreasonable.
I hope you get time to fight it, but I understand, I wish I didn't have to do this, I got so much more better things to spend my time doing :T

FWIW I have the same machine and have had similar trouble. Have only recently contacted LG who are changing the motherboard next week.

    I can't say it's a problem I'd sue over though.

What action will you take if LG don't fix the problem and then tell you it's your fault?
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

I've had the machine about 18 months. I have a 15 month old child. It's something I just deal with to be honest, and would probably continue. I don't do enough washing for it to take hours off my life.

You are either, a rogue traders dream, or are far too wealthy to worry.

  • My letter was sent on Tuesday, they have until Wednesday to reply, no reply yet.
  • I'm willing to bet that a consumer program like Watchdog would be VERY interested in a story like this, especially as it seems kike it's a common occurance.
I'd send them the link to this thread - and any others you find on here/elsewhere.
  • UPDATE: I contacted the retailer by phone and sent a letter to which they didn't reply so I raised a small claim against the retailer which they have acknowledged and are defending the full amount !

Waiting upon their defence papers now.
