  • I am also like others on this forum am waiting for LLoyds to pay up, I received my letter on the 17th August with my offer of payment and was told by Lloyds that I would get my money within two weeks, I should have known that this wouldn't happen:mad:, I've called several times to chase my payment and i've been told that an email has now been sent to the payment department to chase this money up as I should have had this money by now, from what I'm reading its probably another delay tactic.
    However on a positive not I also was owed money be Egg within 6 weeks I'd received an offer and a cheque in the post, its just a shame LLoyds arent able to do the same.:(

    oh great im in for a long wait then, my letter wasnt sent till oct 12th:(
  • I got my letter on 20th Sept, i've been calling and emailing most days. I managed to get some of it paid out (money from my closed loans) however still waiting on £3.5 K to be paid from my open loans... which they say they cant pay until my payments have been recalculated and my new payments are set up but they've been saying this for 6 weeks now and its getting very boring. I've emailed Andrea Barry 5 times in the past week with no answer and 1 of those was to praise a member of staff so it looks like I'm being ignored. Getting really sick of it they would be quick enough to take payments from us or to seek legal advise if we refused to pay it up. I've been in touch with my local MP but as yet still waiting to hear what he can do.. I have 2 young children and need this money for Christmas :(
  • I'm the same would really love this money foer Xmas I'm starting to wonder if Ill ever get it is theis delay tactic for a reason????:(

    I dont think it makes much difference if its open or closed there is still a huge delay, however Ive been told today that they hope to have the backlog cleared in 3 weeks, fingers crossed:)

    Alas, the excuse about current loans is just that - an excuse. Lots of people have loans that were settled years ago that haven't been paid
  • Can anyone at MSE bring some clarity to this? Where do we stand? Can Lloyds delay repayments indefinitely and what happens if Lloyds TSB goes bust? Are we still covered by the government on this? Be great to get someone at Lloyds TSB on the record about this - I will donate my filmmaking skills for free if you can set up an interview...

    As I said in another lloyds thread (there are several :mad:) my friend works in the City and he says;
    6.5% (chance) of it going bust in a year….compare this to bank of England at 3.5% so it’s relatively high comparatively, but not likely to happen at the moment.

    So hopefully it's a long way off
  • Received an offer from BOS on the 23rd August, sent it back as soon as possible and haven't heard a thing since! Spoke to them on the "dedicated" PPI number where the only thing anyone can say is sorry its in a really big queue and you'll have to wait! Its now been 10 weeks!! I have never heard of any bank taking 10 weeks to calculate anything they felt they were owed, its quiet frankly disgusting behavior from the banks.
