So angry and upset about bridesmaid
Comments

Were you letting the bridesmaids keep the dresses, or did you want them back to sell?
I hope you get to the bottom of it.0 -

It's not a bloody tent Maggie! It is only a 14! Not a 34!Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140 -
Isn't the average size of a woman in the uk a 16? Even so I get the issue.
Give her a hug, tell her you don't give a damn what the label says as she is gorgeous whatever her size, and that you want her to be comfortable and not stressing about the dress on the day. I agree with the suggestion on having a pamper evening where you do the hair/makeup/shoes and dresses together to "see what it looks like".
Is it just complete denial about her weight? Is it that you and the other BM are significantly smaller than she?
One of the weirdest things I found about being a BM is that suddenly your vital stats and/or any body hang ups - (mine are my arms/belly and feet and I'm a size 8/10) are the privy of the bride, her mother, other BMs who you may or may not know very well...
Luckily in my case the other BM is another of my closest friends, but that isn't always the case. Even so we're very similar in size and stature, and I was gutted that she got into an 8 of the chosen dress and I had to have the 10. Irrational but true. And that's when other dresses were the same size, and others it was the other way round. I'm not saying her attitude makes any sense, but there you are.0
