Afternoon all,
Haven't managed to post for a few days, life seems to have taken over. Hope I haven't missed too much, hugs to those in need and Happy Anniversary to Mr and Mrs Bargainbird:beer:
Its my day for looking after DGS today so not much housework done. I have managed some washing but the drier is on:o I can't bear the thought of it all hanging about, but will hang the big stuff up.
DD and DGS's dad have been back together about a month and things seem good, so fingers crossed.
DH fell at football last week and has torn the ligaments in his ankle so has been at home mostly since then, which is why I haven't posted or got a lot of anything done, I don't know where the days go. I do know I am not cut out for nursing:mad: 24 hrs is about the limit of my patience.
Anyway managed to get tea done, potato ash with dumplings and crusty bread, just the thing for a cold wet day.
Will drop DGS back home about 6 and then hoping to start some crocheting this evening, probably squares as thats all I can do but might have a go at some of the little animals.
Enjoy the rest of your day, JulieStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Happy Anniversary to the Bargainbirds:smileyhea
Hugs to poorlies and fedups.
Had a hectic day-my brother came over with DNiece :j,and also my cousin rang to say she was dropping her son at the airport so would be passing close by,so I told her to come for lunch too.We only had soup & sandwiches, and some of the biscuits DN and I made but it was nice, our cousin has only met DN once before. She loves children, like me is a NNEB nursery nurse but she is still working in school whereas I'm not.We try to get together when she's off as we are doing our family history. She and DN(nearly 8) hit it off straight away
I have shin beef in red wine in the sc ready for tea.DS2 is off to see his baby girl after tea,and have a talk with his ex.Both my bro and cousin have left a present for DGD so I'll have to print some more photos off for thank you cards, have run out now.People are always so kind and generous when theres a new baby
DS1 has had to take his car in as he is having probs starting it-hope its not needing a new starter motor
Wmf- thanks for asking about DS2-he's managed 2 days back at work now with his bad back, bit sore but nothing too major,so hoping he's over the worst,he could really do with the money now he's a Daddy
Beemuzed- glad you are enjoying your DGD,shame about the other stuff.
DH finishing a bit early, its got too wet to carry on what they were doing,so better get cracking.Have a good evening all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Evening, hope you don't mind me popping by. I've not been about much lately (low motivation, long story) and feel the need to get back into things properly, moneysaving with both feet firmly planted so to speak! It has been an extremely stressful day for me - roadworks causing havoc and generally feeling a bit low, and day to day realisations mean I need to get back into the OS fold and try to do as much as I can. So, I'll be checking in more regularly if that's all right with you!
Today has seen me making Halloween decorations for our office Trick or Treat Lucky Dip to raise funds for Children in Need. My sister came up with a fab idea of cutting up the large bubbled bubble wrap into individual bubbles and drawing a black spot on each of them to look like frogspawn - that'll go into a cauldron nicely! Tonight will see me doing a bit more mealplanning and a shopping list I intend to stick to. I've tried to join the Grocery Challenge several times but get so disheartened when I can't make my budget that I lose faith and don't keep up with it. Must rectify! Anyway, I've got a shiny notepad, new pen and plenty of food ideas.
Happy anniversary to the Bargainbirds! Hope you've had a lovely day and continue to do so.
Hope you don't mind me stopping by.

Hi to all!
Happy Anniversary to Mr & Mrs Bargainbird:beer:
Went to Sainsbury early this morning as the half price toy sale started - came out £100 lighter:o:rotfl:
Afterwards to recover took the kids for a McDonalds brekky:)
Hoping the weather stays dry from now on as i've just washed a load of towels and they take forever to dry in the tumbly, so have put them on washing line!
Made a cottage pie for tea tonite, along with an apple crumble - got a bag of bramleys that were on offer last week in Mr T's
Hope everyone has a good evening!!

Hello All,
Not read through today or yesterday yet. had a lovely day yesterday with Dd1 and DD2, work outfit shopping for DD2 for her new job. We also had a delicious girls dinner out - we don't often go out just the three of us so it was nice.
DD2 gone and the house seems very quiet, even the cats seem a bit disconcerted.
Went to the dentist today but he was running so late I couldn't wait as we might have missed DD2's train so have had to rearrange appt for end of November - bit of a waste of time and petrol as it's almost 30 mile round trip! grrr
Anyway, better keep going and get tea made. Hugs to all especially the poorlies.
