Have read through the thread and phew, I see what you mean by personal questions! Just had one of these envelopes through the door, thought I'd check here first to see if it's a scam (always read and trust MSE advice first ) then filled in the survey with lies, damned lies and statistics. The questions just got deeper and deeper so gave up on the fifth page. If it was for something useful perhaps but 100g of chocolates? No, thank you.

Wait! Just realised it is something useful - the bag will be great for clearing up the garden after the dog

Quite a lot of these consumer surveys have two sections ...first section is your name etc...then they ask about what you buy etc...this second section is OPTIONAL [usually says 'Feel free to leave blank any questions you choose' [so choose to leave all of them blank].....

Just got one through my door in Aberdeenshire - AB39 and immediately came on here to find out the scoop! Don't think I'll bother - although I might give jzb7dp's code a try...

Give them fake details, that way you get free chocs and they don't get the benefif of having someone to add to their database to sell on.

We've just had one through the door in Preston, Lancashire. Not sure I fancy getting spammed to boogery for filling the survey out or serving the people behind it an immediate notice under section 11 of the data protection act to prevent marketing so might just stick the code above on it and see what happens

I had one last week here in the east of england, faffed about with the survey, (ignored lots of questions) and sure enough the next day the bag was left on my doorstep.
As yet I haven't had any dodgy e'mails and yum yum

looks like they have reached scotland (centra belt not far from stirling), put in minimal and fake detail , will put it out later and see what happens, i can remember somthing like this a very long time ago with razor blades/shaving foam (we waggled extra out of the collector lol)
