If they did that in my street you can guarantee that someone would nick the bag from every door!

    An identity fraudsters dream.

I seem to remember this featuring on Watchdog a while back, might not have been Throntons but a similar one.

Basically you are asked to leave the details on your doorstep. So basically anybody can pick it up and have your name, address, phone number, DOB and any other details asked for on the form.

Same thing popped into my head. Seem to remember some type of scam revolving around the thorntons bags. Wouldn't touch it with a bargepole :)
  • I filled in the first page with incorrect info and the back page too. Left it outside and got me free bag of chocolates, Mmmmm.

If you read through the survey some of the questions they ask are very, very personal. Do not fill it all in unless you want to be inundated with junk mail, text, email and calls!
  • Does anyone have the contact email address for this? I left mine out last night - still there and no chocs

I had one posted through my letterbox today. I went on to the website and they want to know the ins and outs of a duck's a**e! There's no way I'm giving out that sort of personal information. They shouldn't be allowed to do this, it's an invasion of privacy, and and an invitation for identity thieves, and all for a measly bag of chocolates! They're having a laugh:mad::mad:
