I have had a few little spends on fresh stuff (signature not updated) but have come to realise this big shop followed by fresh stuff only (for the last 2-3 months) has not worked for me. DH gets paid a week tomoow & so going to try weekly instead from then. still going to have a monthly target but hopefully can manage it better like that.2017 GC O-£93.46/£160; S-£136.26/£160; A-£130.55/£160; J-£47.12/£160;

No spends on groceries today
Did the Tesco glitch thing though (delivered yesterday) so am very close to top end of budget (about £3 left for the month). I have no excuses but I am happy with everything I have
I've got enough beans, tinned toms, baby milk and mince to last me into the New Year so the overspend hasn't been on carp
What is the Tesco glitch thing please?BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
tigerfeet2006 wrote: »He might like to get a slow cooker as well. He could prep the night before and then put in the SC in the morning before he heads off to work. If his kitchen isn't too warm he could get a timer and get it to come on about lunch time. He also could do extra so he has one for now and one for the freezer.
I picked up some boxes that look like the chinese takeawy boxes in Poundland and put my meals in them, labled with aSharpie pen. They are just the right portion size.
Thanks for the reminder. He has got a small slow cooker, but for some strange reason, I forgot all about it when I was working on a meal plan for him :wall: The time switch is a great idea and would mean that he could cook a wider range of meals in there :T
A small spend of £3.75 for me yesterday now added to my total.

Meant to say I had a spend of £40 yesterday in MrT (stuff they didn't deliver in my home delivery plus it is mufti day today and payment for wearing home clothes is items to go into a luxury hamper for the school bazaar or a jolly jar. They have 2 more coming up before the bazaar, one is chocolate and teddies and the other is bottles and cakes. What happened to the 20p or 50p or £1 for mufti? With 3 kids it can get expensive, though I shall hit the charity shops for teddies
)
Also needed to get some stuff in Wilko's and Poundland (bleach, stardrops, shampoo, deoderant etc.)
So off to update my sig.

Awww well done Need2b:j, recognising your triggers is the most important part of avoiding them, good luck with your quit effort, you deserve all that extra money you will save every monthSince quitting in February we have saved £1807.75 if taking into account various price increases. We would be in debt again if we had carried on, but instead we now have savings
You're doing a fabulous thing for yourself and your loved ones.
Keep up that knitting! :T
Also LittleMai I hope you enjoyed your takeaway! You deserve one after a difficult day and being good for so long!
