After 2 failed blackberrys looking to go to an android based handset now instead

any thoughts on the sony ericsson xperia play?

No thoughts on the Sony Ericsson but I was lining up for a Samsung Galaxy Sii until I saw the new RAZR is being released next week.

I think I'll wait and see how that one compares, especially with the toughened casing and glass!

i have owned many many phones over the years , i get bored very quickly , from a basic nokia upwards, and including androids ,

However , my chopping and changing has now stopped on a certain phone !!!

I am dissapointed as it means i dont get to buy myself a new phone every other month or so

Oh,,,,,, you want to know what the phone is that I just cant seem to want get rid ??

Its an Iphone !!! yes i know , but out of all the phones i owned this one does it the best , is very reliable and above all for me, the customer service is top notch !!!

I will go hide under my rock and hide from anti apple shrapnel !!

What SGS II and iPhone are you talking about?
The OP asked about the phone that was available for £150ish recently, i.e. is in an absolutely different price range.

I agree. Once you have iphone you stop looking at other phones. I bet you dont go to phone shops any more.

With Android phones you need to look at the diffrent phones and see which one you like and price. Also make sure the phone can be upgarded to new Android OS, it is not possible with all of them. If you cant upgarde a lot of new apps want work.

Also check eBay, Android phones dont hold price so you might pick up last years top model over £400.00 for much cheaper.

The Xperia Play only got average reviews on Tech Radar. It seems to be designed as a playstation as well as a phone.

If you are into gaming then it may be worth considering otherwise I would look elsewhere unless you can buy it at a knockdown price
