  • Good Morning Chums ,I have a lovely lie-in until around 7.30 this morning no school run, and nothing to stir my stumps for. Just had the appointment through for this Friday for my CT scan plus the Echocardiogram is on the 16th November so its a case of lots of tests and appointments over the next few weeks to see whats occuring with my 'ticker'Today though I am going to have a restful day and do as little as possible for a change.Tomorrow will be a busy one as we are off to London with the boys and we have a trip on the London Eye planned for them Its a suprise for them and they have no idea what we are doing.I have a big bag of windfall apples so I may sit and watch some catch up t.v. and peel them all.I like to stew them in a little honey and lemon then as there is so many will probably portion them up and freeze them for later on.I have a stack of those 'chinese rice boxes that will take two-tree portions in them and stack nicely in the freezer.I may also get the pile of bones from the freezer and bung them in the SC to make some stock for soups later this week .I have a stash of about five packets that I have bought over the past few months for this purpose. It will give me a nice meaty stockI chuck a couple of handfulls of chopped onion and celery and carrots, and a dollop of Lazy Garlic in and the result will be a lovely gloopy mixture which will make a good base for soup or gravies.
The sun is actually back shining again although there was some rain overnight but I think I'll wait until I have a little more in the washing machine before I do a load.no point only having half a wash load.
I hope everyone is having a good half term and if you are feeling a bit down and blue have a <<hug>>
NSD today for me as I'm trying not to shop much this week and I'm using up a bit more stuff from the cupboards instead .Christmas will soon be on us and I have a lot of birthdays before then.
Have a good day whatever you are doing .

    Morning all,
Up early to face a very quiet house and feeling lonely because DGD went home last night. SiL2b didn't take her to the hosp because there was a lot of hanging about having to wait for baby to have blood tests make sure she's had a wet nappy etc. They left the hosp and came straight here.
The baby is beautiful, lots of hair and skin as smooth as alabaster. DGD Charlotte loved seeing her baby sister, MOORHEN they have called her Olivia. I was in tears when I held her, she is so perfect. . I packed up DGD's things and their hm dinners and off they went after 2hrs of me hogging the baby and having tickles an chases with DGD2.
I'll make them their dinner of Sos, mash, peas & brock with onion gravy, their pud is choc sponge (made this morn) & custard. I'll drop it around this after and do some shopping for DD2.
Must get the place vacumed and dusted today, the place has been neglected since having DGD2 for 5 days. More ironing to do. I'm making lots of soup for their lunches and have the BM going none stop.

BRAMBLE Glad to hear you feel better today.
JACKIO Thanks hun, Was that deal at the Grand Hotel on gr0up0n, I nearly went for that. Hope DD has a great time.
(((((((((hugs))))))))))) to all poorlies and who are wrestling with the black dog.

  • Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well - I haven't had time to read through yet but will do so later.

Not much to report from me - I weighed myself and have put on weight despite being what I consider "quite good" - so decision is now made to cut out the wine!

I have done the washing and its all on the airers, Im hoping I can iron this tonight. I will also have a quick clean around although I am planning a proper clean on Friday evening (we have guests for the weekend).

I need to complete the meal plan and shopping list this evening too.

    Have a great day all.
