Morning everyone
Now light we have a pale blue sky with wispy clouds at the moment, so hoping we get a decent day. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock. DS1 & 2 gone away with my parents, they rang to say they had arrived safely and the accommodation is fab!
Dinner last night was fry up for DH and LO's for me. Will decide on what we're having tonight in a bit. Made my xmas cake yesterday and have the fruit soaking in brandy for the xmas puds - haven't made those before so will see how they turn out!
Have decided to have a bit of retail therapy today, so am heading off shortly to the next town for a wander - need to get some ideas for xmas. Did manage to get a line of washing dry and will put another load out in a mo. Want to get lots done today so will really need to get a move on.
Have a great day everyone, hugs to those that need/want them, take care.

Morning all,
I was awake early today so decided to get up and face the day,DH was a bit surprised when he saw me already showered and dressed-I dont tend to get up till he's gone downstairs and theyve quite often gone before I get down.DS2 has gone with him ,he's trying' light duties ',as he's been off work again with his back for about 3 weeks.Fingers crossed he'll be ok.
I want to have a blitz in the house after I get back from walking the dog, kitchens ok though.Got lots of ironing. We called down to see my niece yesterday and her mum had one of those heated airers fromLakeland delivered while we were there so I've told her to report back-don't think my TD is working properly,it was on for ages yesterday.
Not sure whats for tea yet, will have a look in the freezer ,its full enough so there must be something I fancy!
I made another top yesterday-its the second I've done using this pattern and I quite like it-and its quick to make.
Bramble-hope you feel better soon.
Flutterby- nice to hear from you-sounds fab x

Morning everyone,
Hugs to Bramble, Cheapskate, Molly and Lou and anyone else that I have missed.
FB glad you are having a good time.
I am taking DD1 and DD2 to town today.
DD1 needs school shoes and DD2 needs a school coat, will they ever stop growing! A friend is coming with us and I am hoping for a cup of tea and a catch up whilst the teenagers wander round Prim**k.
Last night I made vegetable biryani and spicy merguez squash and chick peas from Hugh F-W's new book. The children moaned constantly about the lack of meat whilst I was cooking it but when it was ready they all really liked it. I am going to have 2 vegetarian days a week from now on, I just won't tell the children and hopefully they won't notice!
Tea tonight is spaghetti bolognese, better remember to get the mince out of the freezer.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -
Morning all,
FB sounds great
Cheapskate have a big hug from me
Didn't manage to post yesterday, just one of those days where nothing went right
Anyways I'm off again due to lack of childcare  or so I thought. DD's dad was adament he couldn't have her during the day (even though he's off work) and could only have her for tea??? So I had to take unpaid leave only to be told at 7pm last night "drop her over when your ready" GRRRRRR he just doesn't get it, he did the same yesterday, I cut my hours in work so my mum could have her for a bit before she left for work at 1pm and whilst I'm in work he txt asking what time she's coming over  He doesn't understand if I don't go to work that I won't get paid!! It's so frustrating as I can't go in now as I'm not on the rota now!!
So I'm going for my free cut and colour in abit, (would have anyway wouldn't have started work until 12.30) then I'm going to take my anger out on the house and scrub it and get rid of all the cr*p that seems to be making itself at home!!!!
So sorry about my ranting, but some men really do pee me right off!!!!

Morning folks
RosyRed - sorry to hear that your DD has had trouble with his back again. Hope he manages the light duties at work.
Cheapskate - grown up kids can have such different attitudes to money within the same family - my DD saves for things and my DS spends. Thinking of you. I know one thing, handing cash over too often to bail them out doesn't help them wake up to the whole thing but on the other hand it is really difficult to do.
Bramble - glad you are feeling a bit better today. Take care.
Am still sitting in my dressing gown - ah but it's such a fluffy cosy one!!
Have done my morning meditation, had a cup of tea, checked in on you and am off for a shower and then a dog walk. Going to pop down to A$da to have a look for trousers and some boots. Just need a cheapie top up of clothes.
Have a good day all.

Morning All
Didn't post yesterday because I was blitzing the house, and have sorted a lot of stuff that can go on ebay.
Just put a load of washing on the line, fingers crossed it won't rain again today, but looking at the sky I might just bring it in and put it on the airer.
I have to go to town to get some bits later and I have part of a prescription to pick up as well.
Cheapskate........ We don't bail our two out, partly because we are not in a position to and partly because they have been brought up to save for anything that they want, and not expect things handed to them on a platter.
I don't want to sound harsh but if your DS and DD want to kick off just tell them to leave, your children or not they are now YOUNG ADULTS and if they don't learn the consequences of their indebtedness now they will never learn. Sometimes tough love is the only way.
Flutterby........ Glad you are enjoying your Holiday.
Hester... I didn't think about storing soup in milk bottles in the freezer, you genius you
I hope that your DD is coping - lucky she has you for some support.
Well I am off to get another coffee and get to town before the heavens open.

Good morning everyone.
Fb, sounds like you are having a great time.
Bramble, hope you start to feel better soon.
Mioliere, hope you feel better soon too.
It's a beautiful day here today, the sun is shining. Going to get washing out on the line in a bit. Take the dog for a walk, or rather it take me for a walk.
Tea tonight is chilly from the freezer, cooked loads of it Saturday and froze several portions. Nice and easy, just got to do rice or jacket potatoes.
Hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

Good Morning All.
FB, your trip sounds wonderful, will go and check out your pics shortly!
I'm having a lovely week with DGD. We went swimming on Monday (free, cos I'm an over 60 member and she's under five) then to see the Lion King in 3D yesterday ( definitely not free, but she did enjoy it so worth it really). Today she's off to a "Mucky pups" afternoon with painting and sticking activities. She tried it in the summer and loved it so I think she'll enjoy herself.
I'm making myself do the usual HW jobs each day so the place is clean beneath the chaos IYKWIM.
We've been incredibly lucky weatherwise as the only rain has been at night. Need to hang my washing out soon.
Oh well, hope you all have a good day. ((HUGS)) to anyone who's feeling poorly or low today.Resolution:

Morning all
Hope all is well, have been MIA, just so busy working did 52 hours last week . However am now on hols and trying to get my sleep pattern sorted out as it's terrible, doesn't make me want to do much OS. Have got some child-free time today so plan to tackle some small jobs like paperwork, ironing and pottering about. Tea tonight is sausages either with pasta or with baked potatoes and beans. Will decide later. Have got the big dog for the night so will pick him up later.
Big hugs to all who need one today, sorry haven't been able to keep up with the thread.
Have a good day all
