Got a bit distracted yesterday so no inventory done! 🙈 oh well....I've got today!
Yesterday I did horseradish mash with carrot and black kale saute and smashed butter beans with sage for dinner. Apparently it was lovely- unfortunately I can no longer taste or smell anything so I'll have to take dh's word for it!! 😂
I'm probably not cooking today - there are leftovers from last night so dh will finish those today along with a couple of vegan sausages we have in the freezer - I'm sticking to a liquid diet today...I've had a heavy cold for a fortnight so adding the loss of taste and smell yesterday makes food a bit unappealing at the moment! 😔 it's a good time to do the inventory though as I usually end up hungry after looking at my food stocks!! 😂😂😂3 -
Hope they work out well joedenise, let us know how it goes.1

Will do ToastLady.
I hope they work out too but have decided as they contain potato will use them instead of chips! We'll have them with some baked beans and an egg (I know this is the vegan thread but I did say when I posted that I'm not vegan or veggie!).

Just reporting back about the chickweed and feta cakes. They were quite tasty but very wet. Even though I'd put them in the fridge for over 24 hours they were still very soft. Think more flour probably needs to be added. Would certainly do them again but probably not bother with the egg - I think the potato on it's own is probably enough, also wouldn't need the extra flour then either.

Oh that's a bit disappointing joedenise, thanks for the tips.
I roasted a whole huge cauliflower with some herbs and spices on Monday, had some for dinner with roast chilli and garlic potatoes. Yesterday I froze the remainder of the bigger florets. The stalk, leaves and smaller florets went into a pot for soup with onion, a couple of small cucumbers that were needing used quickly, a pile of rocket, cannellini beans and veg stock. Didn't add any extra spices/herbs due to herbs/spices on the cauli and getting all the good bits from the bottom of the roasting pans. Blitzed it all up, was lovely and creamy. Was quite surprised how good it was considering it was really mainly stuff that could so easily have been thrown out.3
