Boots Grabbit Bargains Thread part 5 - post your finds here

I'm having Boots withdrawal symptoms! I bought some vouchers from eBay yesterday (5 of the £5 no7 ones for £2.50, good deal I thought!), and so can't do anymore 641s until they come. If they don't arrive tomorrow I'll go mad! I even went into Boots this morning on my way home just to check they still had the bags and suncare in stock (luckily theres loads!)

Result this morning, 6 for 1 in Glyne Gap (Bexhill) and some form of hairspray on the voucher, added some coke, toothpaste etc to disguise it a bit cos I'm not very brave and when I asked the SA if they're doing vouchers she said they'd run out. Anyway, she said if she had any in the till she'd give me one of them.......I said no problem I have some nice clean ones here so she scanned them and gave them back! Friend then went through with her basket and had the same ones scanned and returned. Then went to Hastings and did similar shopping, bit of mouthwash and reduced bits and they gave new vouchers so they've not run out yet. Got to return 2 items Monday cos they scanned the normal barcode and not the one on the reduced label so that'll be £2 back on my card. Seems to be plenty of No.7 suncare around in both stores, am I the only MSEer in the area? Also for the lady asking about where the sun stuff is, in both my local stores it's just to the right behind the No.7 counter, not with other suncreams, so I guess it differs from store to store.

Isn't this fun?! I have told all my friends about the 641 and local branches look as though the locusts have been through.

In most branches I have been to, the No 7 suncare is in two places - with all the other suncream on main shelves and also a smaller selection on the No 7 stand.

Don't forget - if there's not enough of the cheap stuff on the No 7 stand, wait till the No7 SA is busy and then have a good old rummage in the big fat white drawer under the display!! I saw someone (it MUST have been an MSEer!) doing just that today and there was loads of stuff tucked away which the staff had probably "forgotten" to replenish the display with. We both filled our boots (!) and then marched off to the pharmacy till!!

Ohhhhh........help.........I just don't get this 641 milarky. I never was the sharpest tool in the box. Is this right.........you have to buy 6 boots no 7 suncreams and just pay for one. Or.........you can add in other no 7 products in with the 6 and still pay for one. Please forgive me for being a bit dippy - I'm new to Boots saving and this site so anyone who can spell it out simply for me will be very much appreciated. I had a look at the beginning of this forum and still didn't get it!!! Doh.

You buy 6 No7 suncreams (not fake tan). They are on BOGOF.
No7 is on 3 for 2.
You will end up paying for the dearest item only.
Most people get the £5.50 Glossy Locks and/or the £5.50 Lip/Eye sunsceen stuff. If you do this you will owe £5.50.
Use a £5 voucher nd you will only pay 50p.

After swearing blind that I would not enter Boots doors, here I am just home after visiting TWO stores. First time around I got 3 x Body Buffers, 2 x Lip Shimmers and 1 x Glossy Locks, Botanics Waffle Buffer and free Foot Butter and multivitamins and Umberto Gianni Dazzle Misty thing.
Grand total £2.69 after vouchers and 680 points added.
Second store 3 x spf 15 with tan enhancers and 3 x tan enhancing after suns, another umberto gianni misty thingy.
Grand total £7.50 after vouchers and measly 68 points. Also no vouchers left at Buchanan Galleries, Glasgow. Phoned CS when I got home and they put 500 points onto myAdvantage Card.

Also spoke to me about an email I had sent them re. very stroppy SA who served me at St. Enochs, Glasgow (wouldn't scan voucher against burgundy bag and also wouldn't accept £5 and £3 vouchers in one transaction). They are going to speak to store manager and awarded me further 1000 points onto card. Just goes to show you that it does pay to complain (something that I would never have done before reading these posts. So many thanks.

On the 641 you can only get suncare stuff (someone else has posted which items work and which dont, I am not even sure myself, but I have been getting the Glossy Locks spray and the Eye and Lip Shimmer). Using a different No7 item (wipes or make up etc) only works on 342.

So... put 6x No7 sun items in your basket, go to checkout, dont forget your £5 voucher, and you will only pay for 1 item minus £5.
on 342.... get 2x sun items plus 1 other No7, and pay just for the most expensive item minus your £5 voucher.

festival park had lots of reduced botanics still today mostly mens deodrants 74p and 94p and loads of wax items for 50p
still havnt managed to find the time delay reduced anywhere
