Hi there,
Just wanted to say that EVERYONE on here is so lovely and encouraging and helpful and non-judgemental.
I wish I'd found this forum years ago.
Good luck and keep doing what your doing.
My life motto is "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming" (nicked from a funny little fish and my most favourite film ever!) And that's exactly what I intend to do.

Hey Paula,
Thought I'd just pop down a few words to wish you some encouragement on your way. I've decided to start a debt free diary this week too, probably tomorrow, so thought it would be nice to follow some others who have also just started their diaries also. Any spare lasagne... or bread... or soup... or pork? Hehe!Council Tax £1,928.85, Fines £90.00, Old Car Tax £267.00, Gas £337.25, Electric £54.42

always spare*
*Until husband discovers various hiding places in freezer/fridge
I saw you on another thread Marty, are u from Glasgow? i spend alot of time in Greenock
with work.
Well i have my john Frieda mousse hair dye thingy on. these are rather good, and turn my auburn tinted kinda brown weird hair colour a lovely dark rich brown...
i have a long drive with work tomorrow and am ashamed as my car is filthy. literally disgusting. going all the way from Nottingham to Redcar  for a 1 hour meeting then home again.
heres hoping its not wet and there arent too many suicidal van drivers on the road.
i will be taking a drink with me, thermos of tea, and a light lunch, and will have porridge tomorrow morning.
on a slightly unrelated note... and i suppose i want to get this down somewhere as i am worried/excited at the same time.
I have a GP appt on Wednesday morning where i will find out if i have a tumour on my pituitary gland or not. I have a multitude of symptoms which point to prolactin being present (i am not pregnant/nursing or in fact in contact with children ever) and basically my thyroid has packed up and Effed off a few years ago by the looks of it. I have been visiting my GP regularly with various complaints and frankly am at the stage where i am sick of it, im sure they think im some mental hypochondriac, well im not. i KNOW im not. i eat a quarter of what most people eat, im 3 stone over weight (i am very tall so less noticable) tired constantly, zero sex drive :rotfl:, night sweats, planter fascitis in my feet, always cold, horrendous joint pain, losing a lot of my hair, skins suddenly very dry and im just sick of it.
i eat healthily, loads of veg and meats, lots of water, no sugar and lots of good old tea.
my weight has slowly increased about a stone a year for last 3 years. i could eat 250 cals a day and still gain weight.
i have private medical with work, and simply need my gp to refer me to an endocrinologist, which costs the NHS nothing. Why are they so bloody reluctant to do it???
anyway now thats off my chest, i can start to count the hours until wednesday morning and the dreaded appointment where no doubt she will say "your blood work is *normal* so you are fine, now go away and eat less, move more".
i hate this bleedin country. :rotfl:

Send it up then as it will be gratefully received as have just realised that I've only had a bowl of porridge today although it was a big bowl. Think I will heat up some soup once X Factor is over and hopefully be back on the sofa in time for Downton!
Which thread did you see me in? Was I saying anything interesting or just waffling nonsense? Lol! I'm from Aberdeen, not Glasgow, so even further from Greenock! What brings you there? Where about are you?
Sorry to hear about your health problems. I'm not an expert but it definitely sounds like a thyroid problem but coupled with something else. Sometimes you just have to keep at your GP and sometimes change GP until you find one who listens to you and will fight for you! I have a brilliant GP who has been so good to me lately and I finally have a diagnosis (will elucidate in my own thread) that means I should get better soon. She is what I would describe as a good old fashioned family doctor. She always sits and chats about non medical matters, never hurries an appointment and answers all questions honestly. I suggest you also do some of your own research online and go in to your appointment armed with information and what you think may be the matter as rather than show you are a hypocondriac, will show that you are serious about getting better.Council Tax £1,928.85, Fines £90.00, Old Car Tax £267.00, Gas £337.25, Electric £54.42

Glad I made you smile; that's made my day!
Started my own diary now so take a peek if you wish. It's a bit serious sounding at this early stage but I hope it will be more fun in due course.
Yet again your post has made me want to ask you to send me food. I want at least one of everything, except the fried egg! I absolutely love banana bread so my mouth is now watering and my tummy is rumbling too. Off to make dinner in between bouts of painting so that may provide some relief.
Have you really managed to plan every meal for this month and next? That's amazing; I wish I had your determination. I catalogued the cupboards, fridge and freezer the other day and I could feed a family of four for a month! Have decided to attempt to cook out of what I have but think I'll just decide day to day rather than make a strict plan. Can I ask why you do it and how it helps?
Enjoy all your yummy food.
