Reduce....Reuse....Re-incarnate...

Well this is where my DFW home is going to be i suppose...

hopefully from reading others diaries i can see that many people are helpful and encouraging in here, rather than the main forum...in which i feel i am being judged rather alot.

Ultimately, we are all here for the same reason, we spent more than we earnt, and are now trying to get back into the black.
that is all i am trying to do, and i dont need telling i've been a tw*t in the past in all honestly.

So i owe £26k. its a big number <<< that right there, thats the house deposit i havent saved yet.

thats the world trip i have yet to embark on.

thats the massive ISA i dont have to fall back on.

I no longer feel the need for conspicuous consumption to rule my life, and im lucky to have a good job to clear it all with.

my income is directly linked to my job performance, im in sales. i have a basic PLUS commission..

all my budgeting has been done working on mine and DH basic wage.

this means, for example, this month i should have over a grand extra to chuck at my debts.

so join me if you like, its not going to be easy, and it will take alot of change... in more ways than one! :D

  • £3.13 odd balance in my current account, i get paid Monday and DH gets paid Friday... so i paid it off of a debt :p

i like the idea of irritating the companies by sending extra money.

every penny helps... and making payment arrangements with catalogue companies means that i have now stopped further charges etc being levied.

its weird, i feel a sense of relief that the dodgy letters should now stop as long as i pay on time.

    20 months until debt free.

  • I wish my debt free date was that close. I'm going to be around longer than that unfortunately. :o

You're right, every penny helps. When I get an odd £10 I pay it off a credit card. It helps the interest come down, although not by much.

Council Tax notice of liability order (in hubbys name)

im furious with him, this is the only bill he has the responsibility of paying.

Well having spoken to my mum, this weekend he is being sat down and told that when he gets paid he gives me his wages minus his play money and diesel money.

the rest goes to my account, i will pay everyone and overpay also.

looks like another job i will add to my list

  • Well done on the contents saving, plus cash back.
Not bad as insurance rises each year. :(
It's strange how they tend to send you the renewal which is about £100 more and you phone them to say you are leaving and they can knock £60 off. Then you go to confused or similar and find they offer new customers less than you paid last year. What a con and no loyalty. Anything to make their money.

Enjoy Alton Towers. It's about 20 years since I last visited. It's certainly a busy day and lots to do. :D
