  • I'm new to this Forum...

Could someone please explain all about the "£2 savers club" and the other "clubs" I've seen in Forum signatures?

I'm a stay-at-home-Mum (for as long as my hubby can afford to keep all of us) with a 6 and a half month old son and a 12 and a half year old stepson. I therefore have no income. The only debt as such that I have is an overdraft that I struggle to keep in check (I'm going to be hit with £90 of fees again at the beginning of December)... my problem is really one of day to day spending issues.

    REgards,

    Alice

    hello alice :)
The £2 coin savers club is exactly what it says on the tin - you save any £2 coins that come into your possession, and then count them up and bank them at suitable periods or whenever suits you! :)
If you want to post a main message on the board about your debts, there will be a lot of lovely people who will help you out.

Thank you Slowlyfading, well done you too. My OH is now also aware that I am collecting them so that helps fill up my tin!

Is there a shortage of £2 coins on the Isle of Wight???!!!

I've been doing the challenge since the beginning of September and have saved the princely sum of £22 so far. I hardly ever seem to get £2 coins in my change - is it defeating the object to ask the cashier to give me them in my change??!!
