  • I "bought" one from my mum yesterday, and got 5 in my change this morning! Whoo hoo!! I'm now up to a grand total of £16 in 3 weeks! Hopefully there'll be many more to come!

I first saw this £2 savers thing on here quite a while ago but never really understood the attraction. Then one day I was in Poundland where they were selling pink pig moneyboxes for.....well you can probably guess.

I bought it and the first coin I had to put in happened to be a £2 coin. Looking at the slot it seemed it might not fit but it did - only just. A sign! This moneybox had a £2 slot!

Now here I am 3 months later. I don't count it often but I reckon there is getting on for £100 in there. My family know a strange look comes over me at the sight of a £2 coin. If I spot one I immediately scurry around for change to 'buy' it. If I get one in change my face lights up. The other day I got 2, well it felt like a lottery win. My pig sits with pride on a shelf in my bedroom. I haven't named him/her yet. Ooh the shame. I guess it should be her as Arthur probably wouldn't suit a pink pig....

    Madness.....

  • I started this recently, but have just one coin. The problem is that with all the NSD's I'm having that there's really no way of getting any, short of swapping to a career in Post Office robbery, and I don't look good in tights, especially if they're on my face.
  • OH gave me 2 £2 last night when he came home from work ....... I'm training him well:rotfl: :rotfl:

Don't worry, I joined last year and the £116 in my signature has been for the entire year, including begging, buying and swapping them from anyone who happened to have one and came within view of me! :rotfl: I spend so little cash that I'm amazed I broke through the £100 mark ever! :D And I haven't 'spent' a £2 coin since joining, it seems like sacrilege! :o

Just been to the bank and put £50 worth of the little beauties back into circulation for you all to pounce on...

Still got £10 worth in my coin sorter - I don't like to empty it completley just in case that means I don't get any more. I know, I know....strange woman

Edited to add - oooooooooooh! I got my first posting star! :j
