Can I join in? I have one of those tins that you have to open with a tin opener, it holds £500 in £1 coins, so I wonder if it would hold £1000 worth of £2 coins? Does anyone know. I lost count of how many £2 coins I have, I just keep putting them in the tin as I get them.

Welcome to wacky £2 coin land, Quietgirl :)

I received another coin this morning! Yes! :j
£102 in total means I have now BEATEN my own target for the year. I have already spent £80 of the savings on the new portable greenhouse and garden plants etc, but I now have £22 'in the box' to save for a new target... haven't decided what bit will let you all know as soon as I have.

Still very adictive! Join this and you'll never spend another £2 coin again - ever!
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Well I couldn't resist:) I took the tin opener to my can as I just had to see what I had in there, and I couldn't bare the idea of my little shiny coins not earning any interest.

So I have collected :j£32:j worth of the little beauties so off I go tomorrow to bank £30 worth into my 10% Halifax Regular saver.

My poor little tin though I guess I can still use it with no lid:)
