Parking Eye at Aldi

Aldi, Sutton-in-Ashfield.
I am really annoyed about my PCN from Parking Eye/Spy. And annoyed at Aldi for using these rogues. I will be having words with the Aldi "trained customer service representative" available in every store: How on earth do they expect us to enter the carpark and park, run round the store, queue to pay and then load our shopping and leave, all in one hour? My crime, as I am informed today, was to take an extra 13 minutes to do my shopping!
Unfortunately, I dashed off a fairly long and stroppy email to the appeals email address, before I read all the posts on this site. I wish I had Googled Parking Eye first.
Will my emailed appeal do anything to hinder my new strategy to ignore.?
I have a copy of my email, so I'll file it with this first Parking Eye letter, and add to the file as and when the next letters arrive.
Thanks to everyone who given advice and support to others on this site, it has made for good, informative reading.
if I get anything unusual from them, I will post it here.
Regards, L...

You will possibly get an e-mail or letter back from Parking Spy saying your 'appeal' has failed, but often they don't bother with replying at all and just send you the next letter in the chain.
So no, you understand the issue now, just ignore them whatever comes back but do right to Aldi and stop shopping there!0 -
The scum will threaten fire and brimstone but their threats will come to nothing as I have proved on several occaisions. Dont bother complaining to Aldi, they are quite prepared to sell their customers down the river to this disreputable outfit. According to one representative at their head office, the company believes that the majority of customers are supportive of ParkingEye.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

majority of customers are supportive of ParkingEye.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Must have been in a poll of one who was a none driver!! Or it was a well ordered question!0 -
Ignore the parking eye clowns. If they tried to justify an hour as adequate in court, they would come unstuck.0

I got a 'fine' from the very same car park well over a year ago. I ignored all their letters and have heard nothing for months. This space has been intentionally left blank0

Thanks everyone, Ignore them it is then...
I will stop using Aldi, but I do so want to go back and make a fuss with their "trained customer service representative" Maybe letting them know they have lost a customer through their use of Parking Spy might make them think about it for a few seconds.?

Why make a fuss about it with the trained customer service representative, all they do is work there and have no control over PE. write an email/letter to the HO which is the warwick address I believe.
Maybe have a rant at those who abuse the system which led teh store to have PE installed.0 -
If you want to know what the Supermarket's think about PPC's and the spin they have fallen for, look no further than Asda's own website at the top of this thread.

Yes, you're probably right, I shouldn't hassle the poor girls in the shop. I will write to head office instead.
Their website proudly states:
"We aim to make sure every customer enjoys shopping with us and can rely upon us to deliver consistently high standards of customer care.
That's why we have trained customer service representatives in every one of our stores who will also be happy to help deal with any queries or comments you may have.
Please remember, your comments and views are always welcome."
Let's see if they reply...0 -
