I had the same problem with an ALDI in Preston. Phoned their customer service centre, who passed my number on to the local manager. He called me back, took the "invoice number" and said he would sort it out; never heard any more from Parking Spy.
  • Second letter arrived today (8 days after the first).
It's basically the same letter as the first one with a few minor wording changes.
However, they have extended the time limit for paying the lesser amount of £40. I now have 20 days from the date of this second letter.:j
They're not very bright, though, these Parking Spy letter senders: On this second letter, it still says that the reduced amount should be paid by Nov 1st, after which it will be £70. However, in giving 20 days to pay the reduced amount, from the date of the second letter, that takes it to Nov 16th... So which is the correct date that my charge increases to £70...? (As if it really matters!:rotfl:)...

Still not heard anything from my e-mailed appeal, or the letter I sent to Aldi head office:(.

Anyway, I'll keep y'all informed of any further developments.
    Keep the faith.! L...

Parking Eye are not the sharpest knifes in the box. Over on PePiPoo there is an image of one of their letters which states that come November 1st the charge "increases" to £0.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
