That has always been the case.
Yes, but I have rang up both Orange, TalkTalk and BT and they all confirmed - If a brand new phone line is installed into the property than a second broadband connection can be ran on it with no issues even though an already existing broadband connection is also running in that property.

You've already said you're going with Orange, so I don't see what the issue is?

Virgin won't run anything else other than virgin broadband down their phonelines. And you can't have two virgin broadband connections at 1 address. Which has always been the case.

You can have 20 phone lines with 20 different ISP's on them if you so desire. But you can't have 2 virgin broadband connections.
  • I hope your council is aware of you being a professional and you pay the correct council tax

What has being a professional gamer got to do with Council Tax?

I would like to know this as well, and I am a student so I am exempt from all Council Tax. I do however pay other taxes because my earnings from professional gaming exceed £7,500 per annum.

I was not trying to get at you earlier, Gordon sorry if it came across as this just read how I replied.

Running a business from a residential property and not paying business rates? I guess that's what's being implied. ;)

O and to the OP, i might be jumping to conclusions here but im guessing alot of the 'traffic' is downloading and possibly illegal?! A letter to you ISP suggesting you think someone might be downloading illegally should reduce the traffic.

Out of interest what games are you proffesional at?!

I agree. I am paying all correct taxes and reporting all my earnings. I have to do so quite regularly as I don't earn a monthly wage but earn amounts of money in lump sums at random times throughout the year depending when I compete in tournaments etc so I keep every single receipt and have done since I was 16.
