Ok... quick looksee... Deep breath, you did ask afterall, lol
Typo on home page:
"There hjave been some new pages added for you. Please take a look at the Typical Guide, The OR and The Bankrupt Poem !!"
Normal order of events:
"Please emember that this website is purley from personal experience and may not reflect your circumstanses."
This is a great page and very helpful. I would add, however, that it might be helpful to add a companion page to give advice for what possible bankcruptees should/could be doing at each stage (eg opening a basic bank account from one of the recommended banks, transferring direct debits and income to avoid being frozen out. Collecting up a nest egg if possible. Saving up for the fee. Preparing the income/expenditure forms. Contacting landlord/employer anonymously for guidance as to if home/job is at risk etc etc.). Just a thought at that point. I know each case is different but it occurs to me there are some standard things folks can be doing. Where can one turn to for help with filing fee/getting by when times get tough just after listing, professional bodies... help with the mental side too. For example Teacher's unions may be able to help with some cash, as might the Teacher's advisory service. Both may be able to help with counsilling services... that is just teaching however.
What to expect from the OR:
"Please emember that this website is purley from personal experience and may not reflect your circumstanses."
Very good section. May I suggest the figures are put into a formal table to make them easier to read? What happens beyond £500 surplus?
For both this page and the one before it might be an idea to have links directly to case studies... which sounds very formal, I just mean folks recounting their experiences with the court and the OR.
Very good site on the whole. I can see it growing well. I think growth is key. There are a lot of questions on here that could be included in there eventually. I believe a few folks journey through the process (presented in full and broken up via hotlinks in the relevant parts of the "main" journey) would be useful. A FAQ section would work too. Maybe some of those contributing to the casestudies section might be available for online chats about their experiences, a chatroom with volunteers manning on certain evenings at specified times could be useful. A messageboard could be good but perhaps overkill with this board here? Maybe a link back to this board?
Sorry if this sounds at all critical. It is not meant to be I think the site is great. I was just thinking as I went through about enhancements etc.
I hope this helps.

You can add myself to it as of Monday.
Got an appointment with the Clerk, rang them up to ask about when it would be rubber stamped so to speak and was told it would be the Tuesday....

Hi Dave,
i had the same problem with them ,call after call and everytime i told them my BR number and my OR details,in the end i asked to speak to a supervisor and told them it was infact illegal to hassle a bankrupt for money and that i would be reporting them to the apropriate body, this did the trick.Official DFW NERD 189

I was made bankrupt in march , the OR told all of my creditors by letter of this , but i was still getting letters and phone calls from them especially lloyds tsb, I phoned my OR and she said that i should go in to my local branch, which i did with my order and thay photo copyed it so i thought that would be the last i heared, Wrong a few days later yet another phone call so i told them myself i was banckrupt.they took my OR details and said that i would not get anymore letters. Guess what to day i recivied yet another demand for payment on my credit card. Why are they not listening to anyone ?

2 weeks after our Bankruptcy I received a letter telling me my Natwest overdraft was to be increased from £2250 up to £3250, and we both received new 'chequebooks' from Capital One.
It seems that one department can have been informed, but it takes weeks to filter throughout the major companies.:starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin0 -
Done it.
Went to the court this morning, and saw the very nice clerk who checked our paperwork and stamped it all..
It's going to the judge tomorrow who will offically receive our petition, and we should get a phone call each from the OR on wednesday.
What a relief!!
Only took an hour as we didn't realise we needed three copies of the forms, so sat there and copied them out again....0
