I wanted to buy new 3820tg, but somehow had no time for that.... Personally I wouldn't buy laptop with 1 year warranty... 1year means like cheap china try me for year and then bin me.... 2-3 years normal warranty for laptops.

What has this got to do with finding me a cheap laptop Karl? Do you want to hi-jack someone else's thread?

Oh no no, I said that I wanted to buy, but I don't know how they are in real :D But reviews are great about them:D About warranty I am serious, from 2 years only.....
Well I know that there are plenty choices of laptops now days and its hard to choose. But person should really decide for what purposes laptop gonna be used for. Budget is low I would say.
If pc gonna be used only for web surfing, basic video, and some office app then any cheap lappy would do.
Or maybe she wants more portability, then I would buy some 13', 14' size.
Or maybe she gonna use some graphics intensive apps so you gonna need dedicated graphics card. With such budget you can buy one but with older proc or lower spec...

    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

I don't think that girl needs some supa fast processor....

I do agree about warranties. I used to buy Toshiba, as their extended warranties were inexpensive. Plump for three years.
Some laptops come with a two year standard warranty, which is good.
Too many people concern themselves with the fastest processor, rather than what actually suits them.
The Fujitsu is a sensible machine with good connectivity.

The extended warranties offered by Dabs appear to have gone missing.

Ok Karl, I think I get that one now. You are basically saying that I need an i3 processor. So shall I stop looking at the Fujitsu Lifebook AH530 which looks a good bargain at under £300?

    Don't encourage him!

If he comes up with a second generation i3 with HD3000 graphics, together with a good all round specification within budget, then fine.
    Otherwise it's just waffle.
