...but doesn't the balance have to 'grow' by £100 per month to avoid dropping onto the lower interest tier for that month?

milarky, i'm not sure if you have misunderstood or not. if someone withdraws £100, then deposits 300, then the growth is £200, thus u still get the full rate.
    Who? :D

I think we're all at cross purposes here.

I thought Milarky was planning on his sister being able to recycle her £250 payments to meet the funding requirements. As it turns out, he was and has now edited his post #13 to state that what he was proposing can't be done - without forfeiting the higher interest rate.
  • can it be opened online?

Can the transfer be from another nationwide a/c i.e. esavings?

I'm going into my local branch today to find out if the account can be accessed online like my other Nationwide account - I'll let you know what they say.

Can you only open these by post or branch?
  • According to this you can apply on line, especially if you are already registered for NW Internet Banking. However once logged in, there is no sign of the Regular Savings option in the 'Apply Online' section.

Deleted_User, just opened one in my local branch
the assistant said that at the moment you could only
open in the branch or by post.

She did not know if it would change in the future.
  • Just complete the form online, using 'Apply Online' section.

That wasnt there earlier so it looks like the website has been updated recently.

Edit: Online banking has been updated as well. Just applied through that. Lets see what happens.

Agreed KTF. The option did not exist earlier today, but has now miraculously appeared, so you can apply on line.

There is now an 'apply now' button on this page that was not there earlier either!
