Interesting site. The 120s are definitely on the way out, but it was surprising to see that 240Zs have increased from a low of 81 in 1997 to 139 this year - I guess they must be worth enough now that people must be restoring them and putting them back on the road.0 -
I have 2 classics the 1st is a 1965 Land Rover Series 2a Tax exempt and very cheap to insure. The second is a Land Rover discovery 1990 yes you read right! The law for most classic insurance is 21 years or older! i pay £178 for both unlimited mileage with PD James classic insurance. The Discovery is a 200TDI (Diesel) the most reliable car i have ever owned it has now done 207000 miles still starts first turn of the key every morning and i am confident it will get me any where i want to go. It has taken me my wife daughter 2 Labradors and a roof rack full of luggage from Dudley to Cornwall and north Yorkshire already this year returns 30-35mpg and is happy to sit on the motorway all day at 70mph! The 1965 is really just as reliable i have fitted a 200TDI Diesel engine in that too (No increase on insurance for that) just not quite as comfortable:rotfl: I also get a good discount on parts and insurance Being a Land Rover club member (Severn Valley Leafers) membership costs £20 no brainer really. Something to cosider?:j0

Nice and saving the environment by not spending on a new car and therefore all the associated production issues:)0
