They'd be better off throwing in an extra SU fuel pump, thats the most likely thing to brake down.

I have fond memories of my frequent journeys to uni on the M62 over the Pennies in a Moggie with the passenger booting the firewall every now and then to get the pump going again.

£1300 with T&T what's wrong with it?! And its a 4 door. Although the tax is irrelevant because its free anyway.

Why hasn't it sold for 2 months at that price?!

cant go too far wrong can you, unless there is something nasty lurking underneath with rust.

Hmm, I am seriously tempted. **Emails father proposing 'joint venture'**

Can't need that much TLC by the look of it and the MOT surely? Though I did once come across one that had been run on unleaded straight with no conversion, so the engine was about to break.

    Dont tempt me......
I never wanted to get rid of mine, but long story in a nutshell it was encouraging the attentions of a club member who was exceptionally creepy, after a string of emails and notes that were 'interesting' to say the least I decided it was better to get rid of the car so very sadly we parted. Still gutted now.

Seems like there's one in every club, we have one who's a bit of a wierd Klingon. :rotfl:

There used to be a huge number of Morris Minors in Zimbabwe when I lived there in the late 80s. That and Datsun 120Ys. If you could get a shipment of either of those out you'd make a packet.

Next classic for me will either be a KPGC10 (if I can save up £30k) or a Celica TA22.

Oh dear, and here was me thinking such clubs were a friendly bunch...

Has the prettier split screen ness but with the newer engine - perfect! Don't like the rear lights though, they look a mess.

The club was friendly, problem was the club was mostly older members and I was about 29/30 at the time so the one other younger male member developed a bit of an unhealthy interest in me and he was exceptionally odd. I'm a bit crap at distinguishing friendship from anything else so I didn't notice so much at first The content of the email that finished it was such that it was passed on to a Police Officer friend and I never went back to the club again. It was actually incredibly scary at the time, to the extent that I didn't want to be in the car as it was so distinctive.

Looking back I should have probably had the guts to go to the chair and not walked away, but I was younger and greener then.
  • You do see the occasional bargain on car and classic, they have a gorgeous rolls royce - Pre WW1 on there for about 69k beautiful - and a tatty Jaguar Mk9 (also gorgeous) for just under 4k - very tatty though.
If I only had the cash and a garage :D
