Beware Tesco Offers.

Was in Tesco yesterday & bought a few things that were on offer.

Seemed dear when I went to check out but that's just the way things are I thought. OH eagle eyed as ever checked the receipt & the offers were charged at the unreduced price. He was at customer services for ages as the staff wouldn't have it that they were reduced on the shelf & then eventually blamed the tills for,' not scanning right!.'

No apology, just rather huffy staff who grudgingly gave a refund. Now if it happened to us it happened to load of people.Never did like Tescos.

Always check your receipts.

Thats terrible. Bad staff in my eyes, no respect at all for their own mistakes.
Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.

No - no apology even. But it means that the computer is wrong - the barcode hasn't been adjusted in the tills - so if it happened to us it'll happen to anyone who buys these items.
Thing is we live miles away from shops & we just needed home before dark for animals & stuff & I just couldn't be bothered but OH stood his ground - how many others just give up & go home/don't even notice?

Tesco don't do the double the difference thing any more I don't think.

I always check my bill and find myself at Customer Services nearly every visit.

I've not heard of DTD - Does that mean that I should of got £6+ as it worked out at over £3 overcharge?
    It was catfood.

Yes, you should have received double the amount that you were overcharged. Funnily enough, a lot of the time, the CS staff don't seem to know about it, until you jog their memory!

I will be jogging their memory next time they overcharge me. Probably next week.

Yes they do - its all printed clearly on the blue board behind the CS desk. They've only stopped DTD for the pricecheck against Asda. Don't let them get away with it - especially as their attitude apparently left a lot to be desired - contact HQ and press for a gift card for the difference you were 'done out of' (and an apology and a promise to re-educate the store concerned!)
