Selling house, help needed as price keeps tumbling

  • Like everyone else I have to say those photos are terrible.
I know Gateshead and I can't believe you'd get even a two bed there for 50k.
Change your estate agent if at all possible they are'nt doing you any favours.
  • Change agents!!The buyers premium means you are not paying a fee to sell but your buyer (if they find you one) will reduce their offer to take into account the premium. This doesnt form part of a deposit or part of the asking price...pattinsons are basically charging your buyers £6k for the pleasure of purchasing your house.

We tried to sell through them...they valued the house at £127k, got an offer of £114k which was dragged out for six months until they finally found out the buyer didnt have a deposit and the hassled to sell at auction....they reduced the starting bid to below £90k and told us we were idiots not to take £80k for it as this was all it was worth. I agreed to the low starting bid as i thought it would show up on rightmove as the lowest priced property in the area only to discover they stopped advertising on rightmove because it was too expensive!!!!!

In the end I went on with another agent who were lovely, had a sale completed within three months of going on the market AND for more than these cowboys got for it!!

If they have withdrawn your property from the auction then they cant charge you a withdrawl fee if you take it off the market with them once your contract is up

I have to agree, those photos are pretty damn awful.
  • U've already done a thread about selling this house? Why not take some of the advice offered there and here.., relieve some of the black and get better estate agents?
