The page I linked too includes:
A copy of their original press release is here.If you don’t have this new technology on your card but would like to order a new one with it, please visit your local branch who will be able to arrange it for you.
Obviously, can't speak about your local branch!

Yeah, i noticed that after I posted it. Maybe I should read things all the way through!
Might try giving them a phone, but saying that a friend of mine did that, was told he would get a contactless card and it never turned up. That's why I'm not too sure if they only give it to M25er's or not. The fact I'm about 500 miles north of the M25 may work against me here.0 -
Im not sure how accurate the information is however this may be of interest to you:

I just got sent a new card by capital one and it is contactless enabled.
They may be doing a trial though, as I imagine my previous purchase history at mcdonalds and pret, and the fact I live in the m25, would make me a prime candidate...0 -
I hope Nationwide have an option of opting out of them when they launch them, as I have no desire to have one of these cards. Not happy with the security implications.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

I have a contactless Capital One card that I've recently had as a replacement for an expired card.
I like contactless payments, I use it daily on my Barclaycard, but the one time I tried it on the C1 card it declined, so I shoved it to the back of my wallet.0 -
Have it on my AMEX platinum, never ever worked.0

If they don't, then I'll get a drill to it (or move back to Lloyds).
reclusive46 - do you frequent DS perchance?
