Does Capital one issue contactless cards?

What other companies issue them?

Don't know the answer to your first question. I know the replacement barclaycard for those who have the Egg money card is contactless 'cos it says so in the leaflet they sent out with my new card.
  • My Virgin Atlantic AmEx from MBNA can be used contactless-ly

    Capital One - no
Barclays, MBNA, Amex - yes (but maybe not on all products)

Just to check? Visa Paywave and MasterCard Paypass terminals are compatible right? So I can use a paypass at a paywave terminal and vice versa?
  • Just got a replacement Mbna Card as mine will expire next month and it's contactless. Will Mbna count a contactless purchase as a normal purchase or cash advance??

It comes up as a normal purchase.

If Barclays is anything to go by it will be listed as a normal purchase, but with the contactless logo next to it.

And does anyone know if Lloyds will do a contactless Debit card. Asked about it the last time I was in branch and they had no idea what a contactless even was.

Lloyds started issuing contactless debit cards earlier this year(March/April) - initially for customers within the M25.

Some details on the Lloyds website

Basically just explaining what contactless is, doesnt say how to get one.

I did know about the M25 things, just wandering if anyone outside there had managed to get one, and if so, how do you go about doing it.

I'll maybe get on the phone tomorrow. I thought when I got my current card (September) it would be contactless, but it aint

    Edit: it does say:
"If you don’t have this new technology on your card but would like to order a new one with it, please visit your local branch who will be able to arrange it for you."

But my branch has never even heard of them :/
