On the HP laptop, press the Flying Windows key and whilst holding it down, press the Pause Break key.
This should give you information on your Processor, Operating System and RAM installed.

Vista needs 2GB RAM.
Together with the Celeron processor, I imagine the laptop is slow.0 -

The laptop certainly was not supplied with that. It needs more RAM.0 -

I would say 2GB RAM on that laptop.
When was the last clean install run? Perhaps it could do with a cleanup or a clean install too.0
