A Netbook will be fine, just not that rubbish to which you linked before.
The games that you mention just need to be able to run Flash.

Emm my five cents:
I wouldn't buy any pc for small kids. Also playing on such small pc's will impact your kid eyesight. Consider that! Buy used ps2 for him and it will be enough.0 -
I am using a netbook now (packard bell DOT SE) and just checked the game specified, Penguin club, and due to the size of my screen, I have to scroll left and right because my screen isn't physically big enough. This is on 1024 x 600 as well,not tried 800 x 600.
Flash player is slightly laggy as well... I'd go for a laptop with minimum of 15" screen. Ram should be 1GB or above. HDD is not much of an issue because you can buy USB HDD if you need the extra storage. Processor type and speed, you could go for a Celeron, but ideally you'd be better off with any speed dual core processor.0 -

everything after "Mobile" (along the top menu) is off screen...0
