Start > run > regedit
File > export

Backup.reg could be a good name

Also run Hijack this (google it). Copy all the results into a new post and we can see if theres anything intercepting it for example.

There are very sneaky pieces of spyware that will block connections on certain ip's or addresses like msn's addy.

After you've sorted the registry and posted hijack this, if nothing can be found then reinstall it is
