    I'd use diatomaceous earth, if I were you - totally non-toxic to humans and animals, but deadly to fleas...it looks like powder and can be sprinkled just about anywhere. Basically rips fleas exoskeletons to shreds and it's very effective! Also totally non-toxic :)

    Totally non-toxic to humans?? err, so why are you advised to wear a mask when using it and to avoid inhalation???? VERY dangerous to inhale...and what would a small child be doing to her soft toys, pillows and mattress? Breathing in closely and deeply.

    Buy a steamer and blow some steam over the non bedding areas and around skirtings, they dont like getting boiled to death....

    Well, I know it's totally safe to ingest, so not sure why there would be an issue with inhalation? Will look it up :)

    Water's safe to swallow but doesn't do you much good if you snort it.
    A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.
