Gosh, is it the warm weather or what as it seems that the fleas have taken over???

We have 2 cats and for the past 15 years, I've ever only seen 1 live flea 10 years ago. The cats were treated promptly and there has not been a problem since! We have not even treated our cats for the past 2 years as there has not been a need. Until now. They have both received 2 doses of Frontline (one of them 3) and still I'm seeing live fleas on the cat. Their bedding, etc is changed and washed in high temperature, stair and bedroom carpet hoovered. Still the prolem persist. We're not talking about an infestation yet, but Indorex has been ordered from Amazon and off to Boots tomorrow for Acclaim. And probably to the Vets for Stronghold.

You only need one or the other - Indorex OR accalim. One spray does a year

They wont - they will feast of the daughter - as they are doing now

They take a bite - go PAAAHHHHH, this isn't cat - and jump off.

I'd freeze the huskies, then stick them in the tumbledryer. Make it as uncomfortable as possible for the beasties.

Make sure the mattress and down the side of the bed is vacuumed and sprayed as well. Ventilate everything afterwards, obviously.

I have seen one flea this year. The cats got spot on treatments and I haven't seen any since, even with one of them going out to meet the local mog population everyday.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

£51.06 here in East Staffordshire for the council's pest control department to do it.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

Hopefully not in quick succession otherwise you could overdose your cat on frontline

Skoosh is non insecticidal and therefore safe to put on her soft toys and also the mattress

I agree with freezing. Not quite fleas but I had a bit of an infestation of some kind of grain bug in my pet rat's food recently. Rather than bin the lot (about 5kg, as I bulk-buy it), I put it into individual bags and chucked it all in the chest freezer. Within a day or two all the bugs were toast (very cold toast!). No worries about nasty chemicals left on your daughter's toys too.

I'd use diatomaceous earth, if I were you - totally non-toxic to humans and animals, but deadly to fleas...it looks like powder and can be sprinkled just about anywhere. Basically rips fleas exoskeletons to shreds and it's very effective! Also totally non-toxic :)

Totally non-toxic to humans?? err, so why are you advised to wear a mask when using it and to avoid inhalation???? VERY dangerous to inhale...and what would a small child be doing to her soft toys, pillows and mattress? Breathing in closely and deeply.
    No way.

Well, I bought Acclaim from Boots today as the Indorex that I ordered had not yet arrived. Carpeted areas have duly been treated with the spray so I'm waiting to see what happens. OH thinks i'm paranoid - i'm inspecting every black dot of dirt to see whether it's a flea. Have also shaken the bedcover daily where Fleabag Tiddles sleeps and I'm pleased to see that the fleadirt has decreased to about 1/10 what it was a week ago. So holding back for another dose of Frontline for now... Don't want to kill the cats instead !!!
