Thanks for all the replies. I found this on the Sky Broadband terms and conditions:

So I would assume I could get Sky Broadband Unlimited for £12.50 a month with my BT line as GRM has?
No from 1st Sept all Sky LLU connections must take Sky line rental.

Why does their website say otherwise? Not that I don't believe you, but have you got a source for the 1st September LLU reference? I can't find anything online. Thanks :)

On September 1st Sky changed its systems such that people could only order its broadband service if they also took the telephone line rental product,

If you try and order Sky Broadband only

Talk Freetime and line rental are automatically included, removing either of these brings up a box
    Important information

Sky Talk Freetime and Unlimited are only available with Sky Line Rental.

As you have removed Sky Line Rental from your basket, the chosen Sky Talk calls package has also been removed.
Sky Broadband is only available when you also take Sky Line Rental.

I have Unlimited on a BT line but I joined last year,my brother who has Sky Tv and the exchange just upgraded to LLU cannot add Broadband without taking the rental also,he's called about 6 times and the answer is a flat no.

Thanks for that! Looks like no Sky Broadband or Anytime+ until January 2013 for me then! Sky have just enabled my exchange and I had my line installed a three of months ago! Otherwise I would have just gone with Sky.

I do have Sky Player on my Xbox... Does this have the same content as Anytime+?

Can I just ask for clarification, because I've been considering Sky, the above suggests that the 12 mths in advance is only available once.

just for anyone's future reference the answer is yes you can only take up the 12 month pay-up-front offer once (unlike BT where you can renew it).

I have tried and failed to take up the offer for a second year

Must admit, that's the way I read it and why I asked for clarification.
    Move along, nothing to see.

It's confusing really at least for me, this was proved when they initially allowed me to renew it (this included getting managers approval as CS advisor wasn't sure) only for me to find out a month later via my bill it didn't apply and I had to phone to get a refund.

I have asked numerous time for them to make it explicit, I.e. "this offer is not renewable" but they won't budge despite admitting themselves its not 100% clear
