I have gone back to being stretchy too. Which is unusual because one thing I have never ever been is stretchy!!!
Missus Knitty, I am sorry things have went boozums up for you  but you will get through it - you know you will. I was going to come out with all the cliches now about being in a better place, knowing you can make the changes, fighting your corner and getting closer everyday etc BUT I'm not going to because you know deep down underneath the grey fug that's threatening you that you are a fighter and this will get better.
I'm sending you trillions of positive vibes, a dodgy hug :grouphug:, some chocolate counters and great quantities of this :lovethoug

Have you been having lessons off my teenager Nora??!
Hope you have had some sleep young lady x

Hello Nora,
I'm sorry to hear you're low mood is being exasperated by a few idiots! Don't they realise who you are and how hard you've worked for all this money!!!!
Ooh, I've been toying with some other advice forums too and they're not the same type of people as the ones on diaries are they???? Some are great with the matter of fact truthful advice they give and a few others just seem to want to judge you as smug and harshly as possible for no apparent reason other than to wave their hands on each side of their face saying "ner-ner-ner ner-ner"
I hope you sort your deposit out successfully.
I'll pop that chocolate back to Paddington as you sound like you need it back now.
I'd add the little group hug picture on here, but I feel too sorry for the poor little emoticon in the middle of those 2 rampant beasts!0 -

Right on, sister!! *lights the random bin-bonfire required of all picket lines*
On an aside, does anyone else wonder where they get those metal bins from? It's like there's a random excess of them somewhere..."strikebonfirebins r us" :rotfl:
On another aside, I'm actually quite stretchy...I'm one of those *ahem* 'was meant to be taller' ladies, but I do stretch well...*bends over and touches toes to prove it* *wishes she'd warmed up first*...:DMissus Knitty, I am sorry things have went boozums up for you  but you will get through it - you know you will. TBH, I'm just sulking and whining...and it's lovely to have you all here at the ready with the hugs. It'll get sorted one way or another, and as you say - I'll cope. It's what we MSE-ers do...we're made of sterner stuff you know! :rotfl:I'm sending you trillions of positive vibes, a dodgy hug :grouphug:, some chocolate counters and great quantities of this :lovethoug

Gratefully received. And I'm reminded that along with being stretchy, I also speak whale....Heellooooooooooooooooooooooo *suddenly worries about calling in a whale, and shuts up*Northern_Lassy wrote: »Have you been having lessons off my teenager Nora??!

Hey MT! I know - they really aren't!! And they seem to fight with each other a lot too....I have a sibling, and currently reside with my mum, so I could do that in real life if I wanted the stress!! :rotfl:
Every so often I feel forced to stop by and play UN Peacekeeper in a 'there, there' type way...but I do think the anonymity of the boards enables some people to be the extreme version of themselves.I hope you sort your deposit out successfully.
Thank you. I have to admit that I count it as already gone, and don't have a grumble at them keeping it if it's right - but I want to make sure I don't get ripped off in the process....after all, BT are doing enough of that for everyone!I'll pop that chocolate back to Paddington as you sound like you need it back now.
nom, nom...thanks!I'd add the little group hug picture on here, but I feel too sorry for the poor little emoticon in the middle of those 2 rampant beasts!
Awww, thanks MT. Me too (re the emoticon) - every time I use that one I feel like somehow I'm endorsing something really quite dodgy!!
And a general :happyhear to you all for being so fab - hope your day is peaceful, and the work element burgers off quickly!

Thanks honey - but enough of me, I'm hugely boring....you have puppies!! *nudges everyone aside to get a peek*0 -
hi sweetie, hope you're smiling a bit more now.
sorry to hear your ex landlord wants to keep all your deposit that's a bit mean if you ask me, we know you did some decorating/tidying up before you left, hope he's explained the grounds etc.
Pah to the PPI people being useless. I'm stilllllllllllllll awaiting a response from mine, they said 10 weeks which is about now, and i guess as i don't know which way it will go i can't theoretically spend the money before it's arrived but it's still frustrating.
You're very right about some of the other boards, they can help but they're very scary and judgemental when all you're saying is thank you for their advice.0 -

I think everyone and their dog have. The first thing I read when I came back on was how to make it stretchy.MuffinTops wrote: »Ooh, I've been toying with some other advice forums too and they're not the same type of people as the ones on diaries are they???? There are some people who believe things are a zero-sum game, and in order for some to feel better, others must feel worse.MuffinTops wrote: »I hope you sort your deposit out successfully.

I bet you can be popular...Knitting_Nora wrote: »*wishes she'd warmed up first*...:D
It's better when it starts up gradually....Knitting_Nora wrote: »Every so often I feel forced to stop by and play UN Peacekeeper in a 'there, there' type way...but I do think the anonymity of the boards enables some people to be the extreme version of themselves.
Sometimes that can be for the good, as it shows them up as themselves.Knitting_Nora wrote: »Awww, thanks MT. Me too (re the emoticon) - every time I use that one I feel like somehow I'm endorsing something really quite dodgy!!

More hugs from here... and I think you should keep up the whale-calling, if they turn up they can sing to you and help keep you calm, then you can be an international whale-whisperer! *vision of Nora in Titanic-style pose at prow of Greenpeace boat, telling whales to flee nasty harpoon boats and pose for tourists instead*

Hello there Nora, just wondering what you plan to do about the deposit. It sounds like the landlord is being quite unreasonable (I stalked you onto your other thread), surely some wear and tear is covered through the price of the rent. Fair enough to the carpets that were ruined, but the rest?
Although sometimes it is better for your wellbeing to write it off and forget about it rather than getting torn up about something you might not be able to change
Hope your week has been okay
