Spent all morning yesterday weeding and clearing (read 'hacking and destroying') the garden...

I swear, I'm not kitted out for hard labour - though now it does look lovely again.

Well I'm not kitted out for it either. AND I managed to kill my lawn mower (I let the magic smoke out). This has not been a cheap couple of weeks.
I've been playing with patterns for smaller wraps for little girls. Proto-type is done, but I'm worried about the measurements....and the idea of small childerbeasts potentially strangling themselves... I think the final version will simply be a round wrap, rather than having the overlap... anyway, I'm dithering. Here's a piccie - let me know what you think.

Unfortunately I can't say anything more constructive than I like the buttons as well.

I think he'd already eaten the hamster - a nicely smoked bit of hamster makes a tasty sandwich. ;)
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Well I found a dying mouse (small juvenile) under my wheely bin at the same time. So that's all those fact-lets tied up and explained. If I'd known it was rodent powered, I would have known not to even start.

Unfortunately my lawn now has a half-brazillian.

This is not a good look.

    Fortunately it's dark...

Half sequins and partywear, half kermit...for shame, Z!

In other news, a chat with my land lady has resulted in a rent reduction for December to guarantee my tenancy; and a rent review at the end of October with a view to bringing my rent down to what I'd get elsewhere for a smaller property if there continues to be no real interest from people in terms of buying this one. Lovely result for us both for the moment *puts packing boxes away again*.

In more worrying news, I've had an open bag of Galaxy Counters laying around the house for two days now, and have managed to scoff a paltry 6... please inform my nearest and dearest that I thought of them fondly in my final hours...:D

    Cheers Rosa!

On other matters - accidentally had a telephone interview today...

In fairness, the chap was responding to an application I'd sent in...but I was expecting a one to one interview if I got through the application sift. To say that I rambled is an understatement - poor chap.:rotfl:To say that I felt like a deer in headlights is somewhat misleading....a deer in the crosshairs is more appropriate! To say that I was stunned when he decided I'd passed the interview and invited me to attend their assessment centre on Monday is close to the truth...:D Unfortunately, there's yet another stage after the AC, but one step at a time I think.

Of course now I've hit a level of terror and general panic not seen since I last ran out of choccie after the shops had closed...:o

Ah well... what will be, and all that.

Hope all is well out there.

Well then - well done you for thinking on your feet and passing that little hurdle.

Good luck for the rest of it!
