Hotel Choc not mid-range, not even by my standards... sadly is one of the main reasons staying out of town saves me money :rotfl:

    G&B and stuff like this:

is the top of the pile.

    This garbage is bottom:

Hotel choccy is top-midrange and Thorntons is bottom-midrange.

I shouldn't have to be teaching women about chocolate... ;)

Now, now...let's not start WW3 on my diary thankyouverymuch! To be honest, I'm not a lover of G&B - except their white chocolate. My uber refined tastes have apparently settled nearer the bottom of the pile, than the top ;)

And there's room enough for almost all chocolate (and most of the pretend chocolate)...and I've a little space in my heart for the milkybar....

*remembers the chocolate orange in the fridge* I *ahem* really need to get going....

Nora, well done on the move I think it'll do you good. Especially having a garden to enjoy over the summer.

I'm with Z on milkybar chocolate, after being advised by a nutritionist that that was the worst thing you could give kids and her husband (a dentist) was fed up seeing little ones with rotted teeth as they were given this sugary fatty mess since babies.

Oh, don't get me wrong - I sure as heck wouldn't feed a child anything like the milkybar chocolate....similar with the milkyway stars - have you checked the Kcal value in those compared with other 'non-kiddie' choccie?!:eek:

But there's a place for it all in the lives of those of us who are too old to worry/care...:D

And no, Everhopeful, it's never too early for choccie. Counter, anyone? *offers bag*

If I ever get the chance to have a child she/he won't be getting sweets on demand or just to keep them quiet

Oh ditto, we probably shouldn't go there... I have zero qualifications to comment on childcare, but a while ago I was in Tatco and there was a woman telling a tiny howling toddler to shut up and asking which sweets he wanted from five metres away - while he held his arms up and cried - I wanted to pick him up myself, couldn't decide whether that would be better or worse than saying cuddle him you stupid woman, it's not bl00dy sweets he wants... being British, of course did neither

There's a woman on my train who has a very young child who shouts and screams and tries to get out of his pram. This is the 6:30am train into London. At first I thought that he was feeling so irritated due to being woken up at a silly hour every morning rather than letting him have his natural hours. One day I sat by them and she feeds him 2 chocolate croissants through the journey while she chats on the phone to her Mum. It's only a 40 minute journey! She gets rather put out when she can't hear her conversation over his shouting and literally force feeds some croissant to him saying into the phone "it's fine Mum, he's just hungry" !!!!!!!

He can't be more than around 18 months old and he's already quite overweight and an angry looking and acting little thing. :(
