I see that kirstie is being discussed on the `debate house prices` thread. Some people just don`t like snowglobes

I love them and I am going to try felting soon ie a hot washed old jumper, cut the shrug shape and use blanket stitch all around with thick yarn

gailey, it is all about building memories, a bit at a time, just one or two items a year. Like a heart or two or a snowglobe. Then every year they come out and then add whatever the children make over time. Kirstie just crammed it all in to get the programme made. I`ll never forget sitting around a table as a small child, making chains from packets of gummed strips. I wonder if you can get them anywhere

You can get them in the works and I am sure I got some in Wilkinsons last year
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Well what a shocker- Kirsty wins her craft class! The others must have tasted foul because presentation wise they were streaks ahead of hers! I am a Kirsty fan but really!

I didn't pay attention to which one she had but if it's like the one in the link posted, it's proper name is a zester. :) The ones you normally see being used are actually fine graters. OXO does one in its good grips line that looks pretty good, it's the first result when I search for zester on Amazon.
  • Thanks for the help! I have now bought an Oxo Good Grips one. Is it really sad that I can't wait for it to arrive so I can start zesting things?!

I got the Craft book for Christmas! :T

I also got the Cath Kidston 'Patch' book. I bought her 'Stitch' book a few weeks ago, so this is a nice addition.

Ahhh gosh just think of the money that family are making off crafts when JackieO and the rest of the old stylers could have taught people how to do those things and more over a cup of tea and some cheap homemade cakes :rotfl:

Anyway, is the patch book any good? :D
Living cheap in central London :rotfl:

I've only had a quick look through it. It's probably no good for anyone who is already a patchworker. It's got a little kit in it to make one of the projects. According to the blurb all her books are supposed to have that, but my Stitch didn't :(
