I would look at having a decent size (length) spigott that fits inside diameter of liner, drop liner over spigott with register plate in place, allowing gravity to keep in place, placing over spigott would be easy, your arm through register plate hole and spigott, guiding liner into place. Fire cement added to seal.

Same again, spiggot on room side of RP, except bend to sits inside spigott, seal with fire cement?
