ahah, sorry. Didn't realise it was a !!!!!! dangling thread. WD TWH.
!!!!!! dangling? is this allowed on the forum. i hardly call it !!!!!! dangling.
i just thought it would be interesting, in these austere times to see what people or families have to spend once all the bills are paid.0 -

End of the month, each month, it's the same difference. The amounts I put up represent what we save each month on average. Obviously some months it's more, others it'll be less. Depends what's going on in life.0 -
To be honest if it was !!!!!! dangling I doubt you'd be showing the size of your wad. Excessive display of wad tends to be a compensation for lack of !!!!!! in my experience.0

I know it's not your intention TWH, but this thread will quickly become another 'how big is your d**k?' thread ......
(Edit to say that Julieq beat me to it as I was still typing)0 -
OP - you need to clearly define your meanings.
I know from running though client budget planners that most people are wildly inaccurate. They say to me they spend only £x on bills and food, and imply this excess is never spent, but when I examine thier savings the figures dont stack up. What I find is a lot of folk subconsciously ignore much of thier expenditure, such as;
New light bulbs and batteries
Cards and wrapping paper
Pressies
Sun cream and other non monthly products such as new swimming shorts
Car wash (or car cleaning materials)
Shoe polish / new laces
Dentistry / flossing sticks etc
Vitamins / sports drinks etc
Magzines
Snacks when buying petrol or the office milk
Lawn mower service / replacement screws / tools / paint / tape measure etc
Pet costs - always more than they first tell me
Specialist food stuffs
Pens, paper, pc ink, envelopes etc
Dvd's / music
Curtain / carpet and oven cleaning
Window cleaning
Plants / compost / feed / hanging basket / bird food / plant pots / string etc
Replacement plates / forks / pegs / cake decorations / door mat
Glue
Sink unblocker / plunger / bum wipes
Candles / matches / charcoal
Kids stuff like school photos, trophies, sports equipment, trips
All a bit aanal but it gets people thinking more realistically. Most of us dont factor in the garden centre trips for example - plus the coffees when there.
I need to get out more.0 -

Not enough. Although my wife (not the mother of my kids, the other one) makes good money as community organiser with the local council, my disability allowance for my itchy ear is not that much. I'd say we're left with around 500 a month, just enough for a couple of sleeves of Lambert&Butler, a few cartons of Stella and a Sky HD subscription.0
