Talkmobile Killer Deal SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE ?
Is it really a killer deal or it is just a marketing gimmick ??
http://www.talkmobile-deals.co.uk/samsung_galaxy_ace.php?tmcampid=18&tmad=c&tmplaceref=GGL013809
£12 per month for 24 months
Includes 200 mins, 200 texts plus 1GB mobile internet
Is there any better deal out there ??
I am aware of acheaper deal with "Redemption program", but I have read many negative reports of how painful it is to claim the money back so I do not want to touch the redemption program with a barge pole.

This sounds good. Also interested in hearing some feedback before I purchase0 -

You can get it cheaper and on 12 month contract too !!
Bit old though - given the newer samsung phones.0 -
OneADay;
could you provide more info on this, where could I find the deal you have mentioned ?
Thank you
With your deal the phone costs you about 24*(£12-£10)=£48
You can get it on 12*£20 contract, but the phone will cost you about 12*(£20-£10)=£120 as a result:

However, it is a redemption deal and you can claim £120 and get extra £30.30 cashback.
BTW, £35.35 TCB cashback is available for your 24x£12 deal too that makes the handset virtually free.0 -
Dear grumbler
Thank you for more info. I have seen a lot of redemption deal for less than £8 for this phone previously with buymobiles or mobiles.co.uk
here is another example with redemption
http://www.contractmobilephones.co.uk/contracts/samsung/galaxy-ace
£7.17 (usually £21.50) per month, 100 minutes, 500 text messages, inclusive internet per month per month
But as I have mentioned on my previous post I would not be bothered by redemption program after reading a lot of horrible stories from people trying to redeem their money. But I and presumably many other people will change their mind if they could read or get more positive feedbacks with redemption program.
In my opinion redemption program is based on "a quite strange business model" as they are expecting their customers to forget the claim and making profit from it. If they really sincere about their offer why do they rewuire the customer to pay first and claim it back ? Is not that it is better less admin work for both parties, more enviromentally friendly if they just reduce the monthly rate from the beginning ?Don't hold your breath.
