just for note on what's others said. I love these loopholes and have gotten countless points like 10k but altogether spent no more than 200 pounds over the last 6 years at any tesco.
Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"

Can't believe more people aren't thinking about keeping their cover!

Seriously considering it, we have three kdis and if one of us did go in the next 10 years we'd certainly struggle to support them for a while (though family would help). Not sure whether it's more important to insure me or hubby or both... both would cost 12000 over 10 years, which is a lot of money considering we are both 20s and 30s...

Take out separate policies most joint policies only pay out once so if you are both killed in say a car crash the beneficiaries will only get the payout for one of you.

Plus of course the bonus of extra points...
  • was there any idication of when the points would go on x

I talked to the Tesco Life Insurance guy yesterday and he said that the points will be added after the third payment.

I was told the same thing when I called. Points only get added after the third payment.

Whoever said they had received their points already must have got them in error. Either way, if you cancel before the third payment points will be taken back I believe...

I told the whole truth, as my step mum died 2 days ago and it made me realise, that I would hate to die without money to pay for a funeral, or to help the kids out with a little cash.

They need me to consent for them to contact my doctor for a report.

I just applied but need to wait for an underwriter to review it - anyone know if I still get the points if they don't review it until after the closing date (Nov 9th)?

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

When I had applied online I had forgotten that I had to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours last year to check out chest pain (it turned out to be muscular). When I did the written confirmation to say I wanted the policy I mentioned this in it and it said they would need to get an underwriter to review it. I had the confirmation that my monthly payment wouldn't change within a few days, so I think they are pretty quick at sorting it out.
